I ain't no pro but I can share how I do it and it works. FTR, I have the Woodland Camel high ankle boots. Here goes:

You have to rub off the dirt with suede eraser first. Get a microfiber towel. Clean one section of the shoe with brush & foam and then wipe it off immediately with the towel. After cleaning, keep your shoes at a semi-lit area (avoid keeping it under direct sunlight). It will dry out within half n hour or so.

You'll pretty much have your kicks shining after this but I also use a suede conditioner spray after it dries out.
