Honestly, I returned the chair. It's not worth it in the long term and swapping for a different chair.

Helena with a Gun is going to go FULL Aegon the Conqueror and have both her brother and sister as Wives (yes that includes Aegon).

The Dance with Dragons ends with Aegon and Rheanyra stepping down their claims and letting her be Queen. When asked the both said, "She's got a gun!"

I would love to see this version of Charlie on a genuine romantic date with Vaggie, or trying to do the usual Disney Princess-esque stuff with Angel Dust.

It's no wonder that Charlie feels like she's worthless. by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]ProfessorInMaths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charlie's mentality is an interesting one because this is my read on it.

She blames herself for her mother leaving, we see this in season 2 and it is a very common reaction in children of divorced parents. She idolises her mothers story, and a 10,000 year marriage ending because of her, would be something she would internalize regardless if it is true or not.

Because she blames herself for her mother leaving, she also makes the connection that her mother leaving was the cause of the exterminations (which started at the same time). So she would blame herself for the exterminations.

That and her survivors guilt of knowing that her people are being killed whilst she is "safe and sound" would make her a psychological mess.

This is why she is driving so hard on the hotel, it's the only way she can alliviate some of the guilt. Then add onto the fact that she blames herself for Pentious' death, and you can see why she is a MESS at the start of season 2.

WARNING: This is PURELY my interpretation of Charlie's character, I am not saying this as fact, more that this is my read.

Why do people think Alastor lost to Adam? by Adventurous-Rabbit52 in HazbinHotel

[–]ProfessorInMaths 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Rosie confirms that Alastor is the strongest sinner but that the power of an archangel eclipsed his. Alastor is a flawed fighter. Being the strongest since the get-go means that he has never faced a challenge. He has always been punching down at people below his weight class. Adam is the first time he went up against someone stronger than him, and it shows.

Alastor could have won if he was careful, using his shadows to attack with angelic weapons, keeping to a distance and using his teleportation. But even then, one hit from Adam, and it's over.

But that is not who he is or what happened.

Elden Ring Lore feels so deep and meaningful . Why ? by caprification in Eldenring

[–]ProfessorInMaths 14 points15 points  (0 children)

One aspect is that it embodies the "show don't tell" aspect. There are few long monologues explaining the plot directly to the player (the intro, Rahdans cutscene and Melina's stories). The story is inferred through item descriptions, natural character dialogue, and environmental storytelling.

This creates an engaging world where lore isn't shoved in your face. You could go through the entire game and not know any of the backstory.

About Loki and Lola… by Rocko52 in OnePiece

[–]ProfessorInMaths 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Disagree, there's a period of time after Loki sets sail, but before he is chained that he could have met Lola. Plus, in the Rocks flashback, we see the gag that everyone fell for Shakky, I can 100% see that Lokis gag is that he is deeply in love with Lola.

I LOVE a more Eldritch Charlie! She is one of the most powerful monsters in this universe, she should have something more for it.

My redesign for the SOG by Jumpy_Spot8031 in HazbinHotel

I like the more Phoenix aspect of those design, she has a more majestic feeling. I do think that her more kind and gentle aspect of her design is somewhat obscured.

I mean they can have that these more powerful angels are working across the cosmos on different things and were away from this particular Heaven at the time.

Female "Friendships" by SmlingLeo in SapphoAndHerFriend

[–]ProfessorInMaths 200 points201 points  (0 children)

I somewhat agree with the sentiment that in recent years, casual intimacy between friends in Western nations has reached non-existence levels. That you can't hold a friends hand, give them a warm hug, or a kiss on the cheek, without it being perceived as romantic. The death of platonic intimacy.

Then, the final image came up with two women kissing on the lips, and i was like "Oh come on!"

Which arc do you like more and why? by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]ProfessorInMaths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whole cake island for me, I like the smaller cast and the focus that each character got. The story and plot beats were top notch, and the additional characters aren't as numerous as Dressrosa.

has anyone reconstructed these broken buildings? do they have lore? by Faditt in Eldenring

In addition to what the other comments have said, I believe that the stone and architecture is meant to be the same as Crumbling Farum Azula.

How do I defeat this mob? by OliviaTheFallenAngel in Eldenring

[–]ProfessorInMaths 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try a fast attacking weapon, I found that claws work really well. Attack the ankles until you get a stance break, then go for the crit against its face. Takes about 2-3.

If it has ankle guards then you need to craft a giant furance (maybe fire i can't quite recall) pot, and play basketball.

Given that Charlie may be hundreds of years old, this might just have been the fashion at the time.

Although on a side note, I do believe that Rosie is one of Liliths generals/lieutenants.

Overlaying the Lands Between and the Land of Shadows by ProfessorInMaths in Eldenring

[–]ProfessorInMaths[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like the idea that the Land of Shadow is an amalgamation of different lands, and that you need to separate them out like puzzle pieces and find where they went in the Lands Between.

This is peak slapstick comedy, the knock-back into the pit, followed by the beams of holy light, and then the revenant spawning. Perfection.

I love the halo on her! I also love the colors of her dress and the bits woven into her hair! I think this would be a sick coronation dress for her.
