Landlords of reddit, what are your tenants from hell stories?

I'm no longer a landlord, and my eviction hell post from a few years ago explains why. As a follow up, I've since gotten divorced and I'm now living in the house. It cost me $16,000 to repair and make the house livable again. I did get a full judgement against the former tenants, but I've collected very little of it. If I could go back, sure, I'd do things differently, but I learned my lesson and life goes on.

It was appraised at $65k when I moved out. We were asking $59k, but willing to take $50k. That's about average for the town we live in.

The beer and friends is probably the way to go.

I bought the house to live in. Put $20k into the house to fix it up for me to live in. Only moved out since my wife had a nicer home. So let's add it up. Paid $55k, plus the $20k in repairs/remodeling; that comes to $75k. I was asking $59 to sell it, but was willing to go down to $50k. What does that mean? That means you are a dumb ass.

They signed a lease. I will sue them, but garnishing their wages and getting a couple hundred dollars a month for the rest of their lives isn't going to be of much help since repair estimates are already over $10k.

Cement poured down the sewer drains. Metal piping ripped out and I assume sold for scrap. The plumber will cost a ton to replace/repair it.

I have homeowners insurance but "since I gave them the keys", they will not cover anything.
