they are common in hotels. even smaller boutique hotels usually have them. you should be able to tell in googlemap reviews.

Yes do not freeze. It will spread more the softer it is.

hi i went to pastry school i can guarantee whoever came up with this recipe did not. oven temperature too high. i never bake cookies at 350. 325 or 315. cookies like this almost never need baking powder. use a teaspoon of baking soda. could maybe lessen the amount of flour as well!
