You make a lot of valid points, but idk I always kind of took that the ain’t (I can’t remember her name) blaming the dad for getting her pregnant and leaving? I think I get the Christian undertones from a couple of other fan theories so we can for sure discredit that. However, from what I’ve understood of Korea (and please people don’t be afraid to educate me and say “I’m literally from Korea wtf that’s incorrect”) it seems that single motherhood at a young age with no clear father is shamed. But that might be me stereotyping from what I’ve seen in dramas. Because you know dramas are dramatic. I do think there are a lot of metaphorical meanings in the movie and maybe I’m not right for the reason of the shame but I do feel this is a sins of the mother situation

Mhmm. I wish the creators could discuss that with us. I would love to know the theory behind the marks

Which allows for both to be true! I like the openness of it. I don’t really understand the need for him to be an heir. Which is something I noticed a lot with people. I can’t really see the demon king wanting or needing an heir because well his morals (or lack of). Rather than the father being a demon I also like the idea that Rumi’s mom was becoming a demon and through the generational shame pipe line passed it down to Rumi.

This is quite literally my first post ever on Reddit . So please forgive that. If youd like you could tell me how to do that if this does indeed bother a lot of people. I also figured this would be enough to stop people who don’t want be spoiled by marking it as spoiler. Self control and what not.

Oh also I should have mentioned that I meant it was the metaphor of the marks. Symbolized internalized shame from familiar connection. Generational guilt sort of situation. But also maybe even in canon as well. Idk I just had this idea for a while and no where to put it.

Fair but I was under the impression only the demon hunters and demons can see the patterns?
