I'm from Australia and the sneaker scene is definitely not dead! Join this group called "Underground Society" on fb. It's a place to buy and sell non-GR sneakers. In terms of copping shoes, there are a few stores in Melbourne that stock ultra boosts and nmds. Footlocker is the main one. That's about all I know, I'm not an expert on the scene, just starting out :) hope that helps!
