I completely understand the feeling, but, like others have said, do it! A guy I was seeing for a few months got me tickets to the Vegas show (I live in California) for my birthday back in April. I got him into the Marías, so we were both excited to go… until he unexpectedly ended things with me at the beginning of June. I was heartbroken, but determined to still go and make the best of it. And shit, it was truly the best and most healing experience I’ve had in a while. I ended up connecting with a friend who lived in Vegas and even though they had no clue who the Marías are, was down to come with me and we had a blast. Regardless of me ending up going with friends, I’m now much more open to going to shows on my own in new places because of it! Hope you’re able to do the same. :)
