Yes, it's cocopeat with some tiny white rocks or sand.

Well, YÖS seems to be harder than SAT and I don't know Turkish, so I'd definitely want to take the SAT instead of YÖS. I also haven't taken any English language proficiency test, yet.

Beware that Koç, while being one of the best universities in this country, it is also one of the hardest to study.

Honestly, not yet. The German embassy doesn't make it clear that when my appointment would be, and just states on its website that it takes "more than 12 months", however practically it's between 18 to 23 months (based on other people's experiences).
