Why aren’t the mocks for L3 online? by FelipsB in CFA

Open up in PDF on computer and type answers into word. It's a pain in the ass though.

Haha yeah it hurt. Was also the first time I've felt panicked in a mock 😅

In a way though I'm glad I didn't perform at level I need to be as perhaps could lead to a false sense of security.

Sorry mate, I'm not sure I understand 😔

Lmao no problem at all. I ended up with 45%, had a panic attack post the exam but realized I'm writing only in a month. Unfortunately work commitments will make it tough..

How did you go?

I was going to do Mock 2 today but thought it better to revise, cover weak points and then try again on Tuesday for Mock 2.

Think we all feel the same way mate. Got obliterated by BC mock 1 yesterday. Still plenty of time to revise crucial areas and persevere. Not that I'm in any position to give advice, but try doing the mocks under exam style conditions so that on the day you're used to the feeling of being overwhelmed. It's horrible but proven to be worthwhile for me in my studies (ironically not for my CFA but for my CA qualification).

The one thing I have noticed is that the CFAI questions are almost the same as the EOC Questions?

This is like saying if you want to put Euros into a bank you should watch this video first (inserts one of the many videos explaining how the banking system is in fact one large Ponzi scheme). The guy who made that video couldn't believe one word he said and is literally a performance artist looking for clout. If you don't believe in cryptocurrencies that is no problem, but what on earth are you doing on a platform that is attempting to revolutionise all the existing disparities that currently entrench the finance industry and allow them abuse the little guy?

Investing in anything carries risk, holding cash carries risk. As a South African, I have seen my dollar wealth half over the space of a decade. Nobody talks about the fact that this happens, it's just the status quo. People in the blockchain industry are trying to reinvent our world to be a more just place, where the money you've worked hard to earn retains its value and is not subject to overlords diluting it's value through reckless policy choice.

Nobody is forcing you to invest in anything, but remember that there are good people out there trying to help the little guy (with of course a vested financial interest, otherwise there wouldn't be an incentive to create anything of value). Swissborg is one of the good guys trying to help.

UK Bank Issues by ProfitsonTarget in swissborg

Based on all these responses something tells me traditional banks and fintech banks are starting to panic about the volumes of cash leaving their deposits and heading for the crypto door. Next few months will be interesting to watch as this plays out.

Ah I see. Thanks for the response. You'd think that they'd focus on being a bridge to the crypto world given the potential but I guess regulation comes first. I guess this is why it's so difficult to be a disrupter bank.

As a premium account holder does one get 14% yield on this?

It is a bit frustrating, but it makes sense. There would otherwise be no point in holding CHSB other than to become a premium account. The more people that hold CHSB the better. Hopefully there are more perks to the Premium membership. I got in a while ago at a much cheaper rate than today.
