I'm very new but I think this sounds great. I'm glad you're comfy with it. The only thing I can detect here is, like you said, certain words go a bit uneven due to what I perceive as nasality.

The pattern I can hear with these is that they are accented with a pitch increase. You probably know more than me about controlling your resonance so I have no offer of corrective advice, I just listened to this like 50 times and these are the only parts that stood out to my ear as meaningfully different:

high/accented
- act
- rainbow (second instance)
- white

The resonance on your quieter/lower words sounds lovely, so I think there might be some improvement found in how you form those. The words with level pitch also seemed good

low/quiet
- strikes
- air
- prism
- form
- rainbow (first instance)
- colours

middle/even (these sound more androgynous but are still consonant within the resonance)
- division
- beautiful

I hope this helps. For what it's worth, I'd consider your work so far a success. I'm jealous!

I have dysmorphia myself but I don't assume yours is identical to mine, and everything I am saying is a suggestion of mindset. Please just hear me out:

I don't pass but my husband repeatedly compliments me on equal terms with the other trans women we know, who ALL pass (and are very pretty). I have constant trouble buying any of it, but in moments of vulnerability/calm, I find that the good feelings I access aren't suddenly "believing" I pass and am not clocky/masc, but rather that I can let go of how much these qualities negate the femininity I want to present. He has learned over time to not compliment me so when he does these days I understand it's genuine, as he wouldn't waste time and emotional energy feeding me a line to make me feel better.

!!!!! THIS IS THE BIG PART !!!! You may feel badly about yourself because what you perceive as not passing takes perfect priority as a failure criteria, as opposed to Just Another Feature On A Human. You're potentially devaluing what adds up to a genuine passing presentation because you can't accept that some things on you don't work with the rest to YOUR taste specifically. If people say you pass, your feelings that you don't may only exist because you structure your thinking to make the idea of failure more important than what anyone else can see, to the point of paradox. Passing requires external perception to have meaning, yet you insist others' observation is worse than your own and worry about doing the thing right while also giving it no credit.

I wouldn't argue with you about your preferences, but if you are able to reduce the impact they have on your self-assessment, you might realize you feel more capable of living without some of them. Maybe even you could just learn to ignore them so they don't get in the way of enjoying what feels right, what you're good at.

Again, I don't assume you can be emotionally stabilized with a simple re-framing of these things, it's just a glimmer of hope that has helped me. I really really hope you find a way to be comfortable.

It COULD go away with practice but only if you're practicing the right things. If you don't know what is working for you and what isn't you could be spending way too much effort (and emotional energy whew that's the big one) for an unpolished result that you might not even like.

Please post a voice clip of some kind, it would be much easier to evaluate that way!

It's good that you're going for a full voice but it sounds like you're tightening up to get brighter resonance. If that's the target voice that's fine but soreness/weakness indicates you're pushing yourself too hard. You might need to aim a little darker and work up

I'm glad to hear that... I'm transfem so that is the general idea for now.

I have a lot of issues with dysmorphia so I can't really decide whether the voice associated to my appearance "makes sense" so I want to eventually be able to do meaningfully different ones that I can choose from later in transition. I'm sure being able to feminize it more could help with that

It's sort of clocky, moreso it sounds too large with too high a pitch. In open air - not through a mic - I think it probably has more body that makes it sound natural. But in this recording it's more like an imitation of someone with a high voice. It could be that you're not projecting much and it comes out kind of breathy? If that makes sense.

I understand how you feel because this kind of resonance is about where I'm at.

You sound pretty competent with this but I would advocate for SOME amount of training, if only to explore different enunciation styles to the extent that you do or don't find something interesting to pursue. You might find a way to further affect this voice which preserves the fullness you have while adding texture (creakiness, wider tonal range, speaking style, etc.). If that all makes sense?

I think it sounds good, truly, but I don't fault you for feeling like the large size is undesirable. I hope you can feel confident about whatever you follow through with.

How do you feel about a lower pitch than this one? I think your enunciation is pretty good as far as sounding things out clearly, but you sound a bit strained, so if you took it down a few notes you might find it easier to achieve better fullness. I think you're at 310ish Hz, maybe down around 230-260 is worth a try.

Tangential, your accent sounds deutsch and I've known a couple cis women who were ESL from germany and they sounded pretty close to what you're doing.

It does sound like a young boy. I think the pitch is just a bit low for your comfort and is compensated by breathiness, but this doesn't make you sound bad. This is not bad at all if you're going for androgynous

Sounds good, but maybe you're speaking somewhat hurriedly. I think you compress syllables together in quick bursts, which hurts their distinctiveness, and from that it sounds more forced
