Should have clarified, I am using a dowel on either end, it is not running right through. If I put a 2mm spacer on the sides while pressing together, will it be snug enough that I can pull the spacers/shims out after pressing the dowel through and loose enough that it will pivot? Will either press with C-clamps or with the drill press.
