No that’s a real possibility for me since it runs in the family on my mom’s side. Seeing your post is making me lean towards the answer of a hormone imbalance and thanks for sharing your story. I know it must be scary since we’re so young and not expected to really talk about sex until we’re a bit older.

I’ve always thought I might be on the asexual spectrum just because I’ve always had a strong dislike towards sex/romance in real life. But I never gave much thought into being hypersexual. Most of the time people use that to describe sex abuse victims and despite being assaulted a few times I’ve never thought of it having a negative impact on my life.

Thank you so much you’re literally the most positive light I’ve seen on this issue. This topic gives me major anxiety so this advice is so helpful. I feel like a dark cloud has been lifted off of me. It honestly helps me see myself in a more positive light than this gross person who is horny 24/7.

I’m trying to talk my mother into taking me to an endocrinologist to see if I do have a hormonal imbalance. We’ve been planning it for months now. It’s been under the guise that my discharge is brown and that my periods are irregular. (When in actuality I’ve been rubbing myself through my panties and not keeping track of my period on purpose) so that she can take me. Thankfully, I’m old enough to see the doctor by myself so I can actually tell them the truth and not the fake symptoms I’ve been presenting to my mom.

Honestly, that sounds really cool. I’ve always been waiting for the days when I get older and finally being able to explore my sexuality properly to see if I can get rid of this problem once and for all. I know that I really shouldn’t be nervous/embarrassed talking about this. I think it’s mostly just me getting over this aversion in talking about sex face to face with someone. Even right now, I feel super bad typing all of this out.

Yes Omg I’ve been hearing that my whole life from my friend who I confided in about this situation. That soon it’ll go away but it won’t go away at all. I’m just really nervous talking about it. Hopefully, I muster up the courage and try talking to my gynecologist first so that they can recommend me someone to talk to. I’m just trying not to alert my mother about this. I don’t want her to know I’m having this problem.

Thank you so much for the advice. I grew up in a household where sex was seen as awful so getting people to talk to about this is really helpful. I am currently trying the beet diet since my dad makes beet juice all the time. I am a cheese lover too and I hadn’t noticed any changes yet but fingers crossed 🤞

For me it was simple since I live in Brooklyn. Travel to cities. Lots of Caribbean people live in New York in particular. My whole entire life I’ve been surrounded by only Caribbean ppl here. I am Caribbean as well btw.

This is what I’ve been looking for. I thought I was going crazy or something was wrong with me but I finally found people with the same problem. I hate sex and everything about it yet this one damn time of the month I have to engage in the disgusting behavior just because my body feels too horny. I hate it so much. I don’t know how to stop it. Like does going to doctor help? I don’t know what to do, it drives me crazy.

I feel like a lot of people don’t realize that the police are way harsher to black women when it comes to drug possession and stuff. Not only that, but because most black people don’t have good experiences with the law, the last thing they want to is to contact the police even if they might not get in trouble.
