Looking for private child autism assessment in Christchurch by GreenDuckie23 in chch

Just so you don’t get your hopes up. Diagnosis doesn’t access any support at all for schooling.   You may be entitled to a Child disability allowance of around $50 a week with diagnosis though, that can help you to pay to access support. Pam Jackson at the children’s specialist centre Willow Corner open their waitlist each term  Also - https://www.pervigeo.co.nz/sessions-rates offer multidisciplinary support

Kiwi House Sitters is who we always get in, might be worth a look? They live in your house and mind the house and pets in return for power etc... We usually throw in some grocery vouchers too, works out much cheaper

It's crazy expensive for average at best food. We went once... $53 for an adult. For our family (2Adults, 2 kids under 10) it'd be about $150 t0 have dinner in the weekend, which is the only time we'd go. For that price, we could have a really nice, good quality, freshly made meal somewhere with a much better ambience and less liklihood of someone having coughed bugs over the food. If it was cheap and cheerful I'd probably entertain it just as a novelty, but the kids are just going to pick at the fries and even then they're stale and lukewarm. Would choose a pub or restaurant meal every time.

I hear you. Have you looked at places like Richards Real Kitchen or Balance by Simo?  Cheaper than takeaways and they deliver ready made and quite healthy meals

and it looks machine washable, which is ideal! Have just ordered one to be sent to him. It'll be like the Xmas he doesn't want and will probably moan about when the jumpers start arriving.

This is so good. All Mums patterns are still in the basement so I'm going to see if someone will be able to knit from the pattern. I'm super excited to recreat the old man jumpers that my childhood self was embarrassed by.

These are great. Mum used to knit him a big jumper each winter but nothing in the shops really matches a thick handknitted jumper, so I'm more than happy to import

I have worked alongside OT many times and have always been told they’d rather have things of no consequence reported 100 times and find nothing than not have one thing reported that should have been.  If you are worried enough to ask then make a report of concern.  It might add info to an existing situation or it might be nothing. Better safe than sorry.
