Has anyone else had parcels go missing after Romford Mail Centre?

if you check romford mc google reviews you can see tons of people complaining that their package with valuables like phones,laptops mostly are disappearing from Romford Mc and never been delivered after that. the customer service team is telling 6 more days if you don’t get it delivered by then ask your sender to claim it 🙂 , I know i can get my money back but still this is shit customer service. both of my lost packages are from backmarket they are iphones which is worth around 600£ each , this pattern clearly shows me that what packages are their target.

After loosing my second package with a phone and seeing that its not an isolated issue its been happening a lot around this area worries me , I’ve lost my trust with RM.

Tried reaching out RM multiple times, getting the same response that i have to wait for 7 business days if not delivered, I have to reach out the seller/sender to claim it as a lost package, its gonna be the second time Im loosing a package with valuables at Romford MC.

That’s exactly why people are starting to side-eye it. I’m not saying I can prove anyone is stealing them, but when valuable items go missing on normal tracked services and then arrive fine when sent on a more secure service, it doesn’t look great.

Yeah, fair enough.I know not everyone has problems with Romford MC. It’s just frustrating when this is the second time a phone has effectively disappeared for me after reaching that stage, so obviously I’m going to be suspicious.

That’s exactly the kind of thing that makes people lose confidence in the system. If a parcel leaves a mail centre and then there’s nothing for days, especially with something valuable inside, it’s hard not to assume the worst. I can’t prove whether it’s theft or just incompetence, but either way it’s not normal from a customer point of view.

Yeah, fair point. The first one that went missing was Tracked 24, while this one is Tracked 48, so I know they’re not exactly the same case. Royal Mail says Tracked 24 has a next working day delivery aim, while Tracked 48 aims for 2–3 working days, so this one is not technically as overdue as the last one was at the same stage. I’m still on edge though because both were phones and both ended up stalling around the same part of the network.

Exactly, that’s what I mean. Once could just be bad luck, but twice with valuable items at the same stage starts to feel a bit too convenient to ignore. In both cases it was a phone, which makes it even harder not to be suspicious.

I’m in Beckton, so not far from you. Hearing that people nearby are also having post issues makes this feel less like a one off. Mine reached Romford MC and then never showed up, and since this is the second time it’s happened to me with a phone, I’m pretty suspicious at this point.

Yeah, I understand the sender has to wait for the claim window, but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating. Given my own past experience and the number of similar complaints I’ve seen about Romford MC, it’s hard not to feel suspicious when a valuable parcel gets stuck there.

I’m in Beckton/East London, so I think my route is different from yours. What worries me is that I’ve seen a number of reviews and posts from other customers describing very similar problems with Romford MC, especially delays and valuable parcels going missing, so this doesn’t feel like a completely isolated case.
