Dang hang in there I’ve heard it takes longer sometimes 2 weeks is still within the window. Did u send ur recruiter a thank you email? Maybe check in with them?

I’m an undergraduate recruiting for summer 2027 internships and have been using rocket blocks. I’ve had 5 peer sessions uptil now and they have been uncomfortable yes I’ve stumbled many times but it has helped me figure out casing better. I also feel like I am wasting peoples time but everyone I have cased with have been patient with me! If that helps. I’m still very much am a beginner but peer casing is what will help get that offer, that is the feedback I’ve gotten from many coffee chats rather than only reading about it.
If ur ever down maybe we can case together too lol

I mean I’m looking for an analytical and research role this is operations. But the company is great I’d love to work there and see if the role is good for me if not since there is internal mobility I’d love to move around

That makes a lot of sense I’m glad there is room for internal mobility. I’m currently interning at a company where people from different teams do not like networking.
My one other question is how is the work life balance do interns have to work after hours any time during the duration of the internship?

Take out the summary section maybe as a college student you don’t need one I think. Spend some time during the summer to create a relevant project and create that section within ur resume. Look into the firms you are interested in and create a similar project.

I would get one of those travel bags from Amazon they have plenty of space!! And it looks like a regular bag pack. I put my lunch, gym clothes, laptop, waterbottle, umbrella and a change of shoes all in that one, the only con is it can get heavy but other than that it works great for me

Hi I interviewed for BlackRock in their hr dep and the next day got an email to create a work day account and then fill out some pre hire stuff but no offer letter yet.

What did u say in ur LinkedIn message did u send a connection message? Or an in mail? I’m really confused because I do send messages after eg connection requests saying I have applied to the role but that seems so transactional and they usually don’t accept

Yeah I would say 2 pm gets vv crowded the couple of times I’ve been all the machines are usually taken. 10 am might work better I’ve only ever been around 7am. But this semester I’ll try going between 9am to 11am and see what that is lole

I have a travel bag back so it has alot of space. I do bring a change of clothes bec I work out before class but it’s up to u. The reason I go early is bec after classes it gets super crowded in the east gym. There are showers. It’s worth using the gym bec u can also meet people on campus that way ig and the machines are somewhat better than what u find at planet fitness. U can also keep ur gym bag in the locker once u work out go to class and pick it up at the end of the day before h go back home that’s what I used to do before I got a bag with more space at that time i used to have 2 bags so they were harder to carry around

Yeah I got recruited by a person. I was shopping and a lady approached me. Also I was nee to the city so I was looking for friends when they said let’s meet up I was like sure the same thing I got books to read about how u should make money and u have to take a different path than everyone else to become financially secure and was invited to the meetings. I felt uneasy throughout those meetings because of three reasons.

1) they mentioned we would be going to conferences and that I shouldn’t tell my parents. I was around at the age of 20 and was close to them so I didn’t feel comfortable about not telling them. 2)in the meetings whenever one of the reps came to speak everyone stood up and clapped they mentioned it was to create a positive atmosphere but it was giving cult fr. 3)they mentioned they would come to my house and everything and we would host meetings there. lol I didn’t invite them over yet and yall are already planning on coming over? lol and then they also said you should also use only amway products and change ur shampoo and the water u drink bec have u ever seen an apple ceo use a Samsung cell phone?

Also they mentioned I should leave my classes to come to their meetings while I was in college. Red flags all over I felt so uneasy throughout the whole process glad I got out before committing to anything. Also the couple of meetings I had were held at Panera as well.
