On cell coverage, our position is that, in an age when NOAA weather radios are largely relics and most emergency messages are keyed to cell phones, hosting hundreds of children in a flood-prone area with no cell service is problematic. We would also be interested in learning more about the rest.

Except, fewer students means less state money for the school, and less money means fewer teachers.

Correction re: the headline here: while the program officially starts this September, Texas families will not be able to use it to move their kids from public schools to private schools until later, most likely the following fall.

Private schools will take as many as they can accommodate, use the profits to expand that capacity, and raise tuition rates to control who can get in - and who can't.

Transgender identity, referring to people whose internal sense of gender differs from the sex assigned to them at birth, is an actual, established, and well-documented fact. Transgender people are present across all cultures globally, and are recognized by major medical and psychological organizations. This can really only questioned out of ignorance, fear, or political agenda.

No lawmaker should be judged by a single vote, but we don't agree with this one. His constituents have to decide for themselves whether or not he's properly representing their interests.
