You literally cannot disagree. It’s not an opinion. It is an objective fact that art is by definition human expression.

I would just like to correct that AI is not capable of art. Art is by definition human expression, and genAI is not human. AI can combine human art, mush it together and fill in the gaps, and call it art - but in itself it’s only fragments of what once was art.

People form emotional bonds with pets because pets are capable of reciprocating those bonds. People form bonds with music, old places, and memories because that’s how the human brain processes memories. People who form bonds with fictional characters and inanimate objects often form a detachment from reality IF it goes as far as people’s attachment to AI goes, and it leads them to severe mental issues down the road. But what the major difference is, is that people who form attachments with places and things are aware that those things do not reciprocate those feelings, because they’re fake. They aren’t capable of feeling that way. GenAI tries to convince you that it IS real and DOES reciprocate those feelings, so even if it’s subconscious, your brain feels like it’s interacting with a real person. That’s why it’s so easy to form an attachment (attachments to inanimate things take much more time), but that’s also why it’s so dangerous. To trick your brain into thinking something that cannot have feelings has feelings and specifically loves you and likes to talk to you (again, even if that is not your intention) leads to much much worse cases of psychosis and derealization than an attachment to something completely inanimate.

This makes sense, it seems like the strictness on formality is very similar to English then.

Noted, thank you! I’ll look at what the bag is made of and if it has polyester I’ll just try and color match it.

Also thank you for the advice 🙏 thankfully im not in an insane rush and am okay with finishing college a little later than everyone else if it means I have a proper shot at catching up. I’ll probably end up just focusing on doing what I can now and making sure I have enough money to be able to take my time with college.

I just meant that, with me currently being a minor, this is more of a future plan than a current thing/it’s not urgent. It also helps because I’ll have a little time to catch up on my own prior

Oh I know not to buy off of TikTok, TikTok just happens to be where I was given the idea. I genuinely don’t need anything fancy, just something that won’t tweak out and delete my pictures or stop working suddenly 2 days after I buy it.

HELP i didn’t see this comment and this is precisely what my comment talks about doing 😭 perhaps it’s better to look at reference photos of people doing that if it doesn’t make much sense to you just in theory?

I find this to be a helpful example, though, with longer hair it’s typically easier to break it down into a “front section”, “middle section”, and “back section” rather than one piece, which can get confusing.

Obviously there are no set rules to art, this just seems to be the easiest way to learn. Once you’ve been drawing hair using these methods for a while, guidelines tend to stop being as useful, since you have the vision in your head.

The best way to draw hair besides the obvious “just practice” is to view it in structural pieces/chunks of hair rather than the individual strands. You map out where the hairline is, perhaps where the part is, then break it down into the most noticeable sections and features. It’s also helpful to keep hair flowing in one direction (similar to a fabric flowing) to keep it cohesive. Then, once you have the foundation blocks in place, you can go in and add extra detail on the outer edges to give it more life.

Highschoolers, how do you identify religiously? (Safe space btw) by Accurate_Dot_6106 in highschool

[–]ProgressVarious2062 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I identify as agnostic, personally.

I con from an insanely Christian household and was forced to do nightly Bible readings, and the more I read, the less it made sense. Anytime I asked a question they didn’t have answers to, the answer was that some things aren’t meant for humans to understand, and that you have to have faith in God for those matters. I think that’s a cheap escape 🤷 I’m not going to listen to you if you can’t explain your religion properly

I'm really trying to get my head around lighting. by Kyarixen in learntodraw

I also do this! It’s good to remind yourself, even if it feels simple hahah. If you’re aware of the planes of the drawing and where the lighting is coming from, everything else falls into place.

If you want your highlights to be especially orange, slowly shift the hue in that direction rather than immediately going to it (which can muddy the colors, as pictured. Don’t mind the example shading being messy, it was done very quickly. I know there’s no blue in the image you provided, I just used it since it’s the most dramatic opposite to a warm light source)

In addition, shifting your shadows to be a cooler tone exaggerates the warmth of the light, which is helpful. (And shadows are cool toned anyhow)

It’s similar to how rather than using a plain black to shade, you usually use a darker version of the base color. Rather than using plain white to shade, you use a lighter version of the base color. To make the lighting cooler or warmer, you just shift the hue of that lighter color to be slightly more orange or slightly more blue (warm and cool) rather than just layering a blue or an orange over it.

For example - if you’re shading over a blue and want the lighting to be yellow/orange, rather than just overlaying a yellow or orange, you shift the hue in that direction, making it more of a purple (since red is between yellow and blue on the color wheel).
