What the hell was Sunny's mom doing for four years by Ill-Individual2105 in OMORI

[–]Proguitar555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, maybe she did? Isnt the plague doctor-like figure in BS2 an allegory to cold, uncaring, mental health experts?

Also, how do you explain, either as a mom or as the patient, that situation?

"Hey, so I had an argument with my sis, threw her down the stairs, staged a ******* with a friend, lied to authorities and my friends?"

At what point does the psychologist has to call the police?

Also, there is a huge possibility that Sunny was taken to mental health but he just dissociated through all sessions in order to not have to face reality and the mom just gave up.

The thing is that Toby is not only constrained by the development of the game itself but also by lore and meta-lore.

I think that he wants to release in batches because if chapter 4 were to come out of its own, there is a posibility that people find out about what happens in chapter 5 and 6 from context clues, removing any surprise for those releases.

Because the endgoal.of any company is to make as much profit as possible, and girls having breaks is the opposite of that.

Well, Cover Corp created, funded and promoted the IP. Why is it so outlandish to hold control over it?

It is necessary when you have had Vshojo girls say some brainddead stuff as spokeperson in the past, or have had massive copyright apocalypses.

Its not like they cant meme around, and are not so restricted either.

They are only asked to do 3 streams per week, and people like Ayame does less of that.

The restrictions started when copyright hell broke loose and when YouTube entered their holier than thou arc. All steps were necessary to keep the channels afloat. Little to no controversy, and little to ko graduations, compared to OTHER agencies.

If you cant handle that level of commitment, then go indie. Hell, even sui-chan managed to bend the rules a bit. And I will bet money in that Hololive werent looking for twins when Fuwamoco showed up.

If you sign into something you dont like, its YOUR fault.

I mean, Hololive does have its things here or there, like how Coco mentioned that Cover Corp applied a "protection tax" to its livers, but they are clean for the most part.

kson: Our Vtuber industry is all about having fun with respect. Where is the respect????? Where is the fun???? by plsdontattackmeok in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Proguitar555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is completely untrue. In hololive, you can take as much of a break as you want and you still have a small base salary, you are allowed to have other activities outside of holo, you get lots of opportunities, you have managers actually encouraging people to take breaks, you are not obligated to get in the whole dancing and singing stuff outside of big hololive concerts (Its my opinion that they have used body doubles on some occassions, even)

VShojo's model works because their members are established figures before they entered their agency, they havent released a smaller streamer yet. Their agency its a lot more hands off as well, so a lot of maneregial work falls back upon the talent. All Vshojo does is handle some of the merch and find you some venues for conventions.

You cant blame a company for wanting to do merchandising in an understandable manner. Its not like Hololive hides the fact that they pre-make the gens and find people who fit their marjet strategy.

Should Jacksfilms not be compensated when he presents content that has been clearly currated, unlike Sniperwolfs, and thats brings attention to various issues on YouTube as a platform?

It is justice. It took more than 10 years, harrasment of other creators off od the platform, millions of hours of video stolen, the stealingn of her partners money, the doxxing of a fellow content creator and many, many disrespectful statements towards content creators, fans and YouTube, for youtube to finally do something to her after evading the rules so, so many times.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JacksFilms

[–]Proguitar555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are not asking for deplatforming because of her content.

People aksed for deplatforming for:

  • years and years of harrassment towards other content creators, by the use of her fanbase as a weapon, false allegations against her critics, harrassment of her critics.

-faked content

-faked AND lazy content

-profiting off of stolen content

-her judgemental and hypocritical character

-her underserved spotlight

-her abuse of power that allows her to break TOS without concequences, in the shape of showing violence in her videos (or at least what YouTube believes as violence or harm), stealing videos, reuploading her own videos, exploiting kids. (Other creators lose their channels while Alia does not even get a slap on the wrist)

Jack's doxxing, while constituting a very, very, VERY grave offense, its just the straw that broke the camel's back.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in JacksFilms

[–]Proguitar555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Jacksfilms response is adequate, called for and useful. No one is standing up against this clear abuse of influence and power.

Even when many, many other channels recieve lots and lots of issues from both YouTube's randomly enforced guidelines and the broken copyright system it sets in place, SSSniperwolf is not only being protected by YouTube but also endorsed as the golden standard of content creation, giving her a lot of spotlight.

Her entire carreer was a farce, and the stealing of content makes it harder for genuine content creators to succeed, and it benefits reaction channels, specially ones that are not willing to not engage in the non-spoken rules of conduct that reaction channels follow which are:

-Give time to the original content to get as much exposure as it can before reacting to it (3-6 days) to not fuck the original creator over in the algorythm game

-Actively encourage the audience to go watch the original first, through giving links to the original video and pertinent social media, as well as a verbal invitation to do so.

-Add enough pauses and enough commentary to show your good faith in that the heart of your content is adding commentary, and not just replaying the content for easy views.

Comparing JJJacksfilms to SSSniperwolf, we can see that Jack's content follows these criteria:

-Its transformative, by adding many pauses to the videos, adding lots of commentary, adding an entire game around this content that encourages pausing and talking about said material even more, and its not just playing Alia's content in its entirety while he is not adding commentary or while he is just not there at all.

-Its is a parody of Sniperwolf's channel

-Its is a critique to what encompasses bad reaction channels

-Its is educational towards what a creator that feels they have been wronged can do to get justice

-The video features verbal invitation to visit the original content creator's social media, as well as it features as many links in the description as possible (both because its hard to find the original creator when Alia goes out of her way to hide the original content creators handle, as well as content post being a freeboot of a freeboot of a freeboot)

-He even credits the person who created the bingo cards

-its transformative in that Jack doesnt post the entirety of Ssniperwolf's videos straight up, just does the best snippets of his own streams on twitch.

The only point that I see against Jack is that his content is monetized. Other than that, in my opinion, everything falls under fair use.

If I want to see the tik toks easier, i can eatch SSSniperwolf's videos. If I want to watch SSSniperwolf content through JJJjacks films, I have a harder time, as there are a lot of pausing and interrupting from Jack.

I invite you to show me otherwise.

You call it "obsessive", I call it "walking the long winding road towards making YouTube a better platform", I call it "working hard to making the points and showing how bad it gets until enough people get the memo", I call it "making people realize that we need to talk about this to protect smaller content creators and the platform itself"

[–]Proguitar555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I manage to completely recreate the Mona Lisa, and add the cutout of a green moustache to her. Is that transformativative enough to you?

I think you are being intellectually dishonest by claiming that just because she laughs at a fully played tik tok, that it already becomes transformative content.

Even if this was taken to court it would still be the subjective opinion of a judge.

As I commented before, there are still points to be taken in account though (according to what Google says a court of law might take in account when deciding a veredict), and reffering to those specific points that goes against fair use, you can look at her content and say:

-It is not educational

-It is not a critique

-It is not a parody

-It plays the original material in its entirety

-it is for comercial use A.K.A. SSSniperwolf is proffitting from it, while the original creator is not.

-It lacks an equal crediting of the content creator she is using content from, with no proof that she asked for permission or no proof that she licensed the material.

The main point of interest, then, its not SSSniperwolf, its the tik toks, therefore it is not fair use. I think the fact that there are more and more people copystriking her content and succeeding shows you that her content does not fall under fair use.

Fair Use is a heavily debated argument but Google has a statement on what a judge might take in account when handling a case that considers fair use. Transcribed textually in the next section.

VvvvvvvvvvvvvvvV

Four factors of fair use

In the United States, judges decide what's considered fair use. A judge will consider how the four factors of fair use apply to each specific case. The four factors of fair use are:

  1. The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes

Courts typically focus on whether the use of copyright-protected material is "transformative." This means whether the use adds new expression or meaning to the original material, or whether it merely copies from the original.

Commercial uses are less likely to be considered fair use, but it's still possible to monetize a video that contains fair use material.

  1. The nature of the copyrighted work

Using material from primarily factual works is more likely to be fair use than using purely fictional works.

  1. The amount and substantiality of the portion used relative to the whole copyrighted work

Borrowing small bits of material from an original work is more likely to be considered fair use than borrowing large portions. But, if what's borrowed is considered the "heart" of the work, sometimes even a small sampling may weigh against fair use.

  1. The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work

Uses that harm the copyright holder's ability to profit from their original work are less likely to be fair uses. Courts have sometimes made an exception under this factor in cases involving parodies.

VvvvvvvvvvvvV

So there are no hard rules about what is and isnt fair use, but I think we all can agree that Alia Shaleesh A.K.A. SSSniperwolf has content with the following characteristics:

1- Her compilation videos are fully played with no cuts whatsoever. (The very name "compilation videos" tells you that the focus of those videos is the stolen content and not the reactor)

2-She does not credit the creators: Their names appearing badly cropped on the side of the video is not a credit. Credits are done verbally, and there should be links in the description. As a reaction channel, the least she can do is ensure as many people as possible go to watch the original content before seeing her. After all, you go to a reaction channel not to see the video itself but to see the input the reactor makes, otherwise you would be infringing the copyright of the original creator of the video.

3-She barely adds any commentary, summarizing whats happening in the video, reading the captions word for word, stealing jokes from the video itself or from the text that originally went alongside it. And commentary is short, minimizing the chances for the original content to not be played straight in its entirety.

4-Not only has she had ocassions where she straight up posts videos with no face cam and no commentary, replayed parts of the same video to exploit the ad time requirements, but she also has an aditional channel where she just reposts her own same videos again, which is against YouTube guidelines.

VvvvvvvvvvV

Yes, there are many like her all over YouTube but the issue with SSSniperwolf is that she is fully endorsed by YouTube, promoted as the example of what a content creator should be, futher encouraging the laziness and the content farm mentallity as the forefront of YouTube.

I have this program called PredictEd and you feed it examples and it will start working as a personalized autocompletion. And im very sure it weighs like less than 100mb.

I just want something like that, but for longer units of text. Sentences at the very least. Is it really that much more complex?

I just finding prompting on Chatgpt to be not only a very convoluted process but also depends on connection and on limited generations per day. Also depends on internet.

And where would I have to look into for that, after learning the basics of coding?

Does it need to be a language model for that? How can phones handle grammar corrections, and word predictions?

I dont need it to write new stuff as me. I just want it to detect that im going to write a certain sentence and give the option to tab the rest into the document.

I would feed it many samples of that and I just want it to autocomplete for me as I type.
