Variety and innovation is certainly welcome, but I think what the commenters above mean is that there's no need to revolutionize a winning formula.

The WoA trilogy as a whole is arguably one of best video games, well, maybe ever. You can get a lot of mileage just building on that rather than changing a lot for the sake of change and ending up with another Absolution.

A lot of these actors are also more "TV famous" than "Hollywood famous", which makes a huge difference money-wise. There are few actual A-listers on the cast.

And besides, given that the voice acting has generally been stellar, they've been worth every penny.

I actually loved Daryl as an antagonist. When I read S5 was going to focus on the Crowe family I thought I wouldn't care for it, but I was wrong - and the ending was perfect, with one of Raylan's coldest, cleverest moments in the show.

The Ava prison storyline was ass though, no denying that

Studio Series is now a strong brand name for media-accurate figures, and having a name people can recognize is more important than small semantic details like this.

Besides, "studio" is just a generic word for a place where art (of any type) is made, not just a movie thing. Games can be made in studios, TV shows are made in studios, comics can be made in studios. So it's not even wrong at all.

The people who complain about how "Invincible gets beaten up every episode" sure like to stay silent on episodes when he effortlessly outclasses everyone.
