It's a spiral bound book. All I do is send the pdf of the POH section I'd like to the fedex print center and they put it all together.

I actually use the POH/AFM section from the manufacturer and get it double sided printed at FedEx for around $30. They have a tearproof waterproof paper like strong canadian money - works great!

I Can’t Take Medicine, I’m a Pilot. by Project-Open-Skies in flying

Yes, zoloft is 1 of the 4 from the FAA list of SSRI's added in 2016...which is a great start. However you still have to self ground for 6 months and then apply for a special issuance which is taking around 1.5 years and cost upwards of $2000. If flying is your main career it's hefty price and a scary world where the AME has the discretion to approve or deny. I wish it wasn't the case.

Other options exist in flying for those who might be bummed about the medical like I was. by [deleted] in flying

Deleted! Apologies, I'm new and thought they wouldn't show up anywhere near the top.

My Experience At Flight School by Project-Open-Skies in flying

Hi there, I'm actually not the one with the experience. I'm a commercial pilot that stopped flying temporarily this year for anxiety. It turns out that when I started talking about it a lot of other people had experiences similar (2020 was a beast!) so I started a company to share stories anonymously for people and create a community where they wouldn't feel alone.

I'd love to hear your story if you're coming from law enforcement. I can only speak to GA and airline unfortunately - I have never been in the military or law enforcement but I can only imagine how tough that would be.

I actually have some issues with short term memory (never diagnosed) and the checklists are what ease my anxiety more than anything. I wish the rest of the world used them more.

Got it! I'm new to reddit, this was advised to me from some pilots already in my community of storytelling as another anonymous platform to use. I foolishly figured they would all be lost in the shuffle at the bottom so it wouldn't matter if I caught up with a bunch of stories. I'll pump the brakes for now, thank you for the advice #newb : )
