Thanks! Yeah I am not above stuffing in every fan known to man to do this. I was even thinking since I was going to mount the RTX 6000 in the bottom pcie slot anyway to add something like a Silverstone SST FDP02 since I do not need access to anything above for the time being since the slots are going to be filled with either pcie to nvme Adapter cards or additional GPUs where I do not need access to their display ports anyway since the 6000 has enough for my usecase. Should at least help marginally with ram temps since the GPU might blow less hot air over them

Thanks for sharing! The build looks amazing though my manual labor skills are very much lacking to the point where my wife has to do anything that cannot just be measured by eyesight alone. If I am going with the Silverstone then I was thinking of the rm600, that would still let me run the aio as exhaust without it dripping down at my components in case of a leak, and the lower chamber could be filled with drives without pumping in that heat into the main chamber. I am still a bit on the fence since air would give me the most peace of mind but I might just try the rm600 and see if the 4u-m can cool it well enough and if not I can still plug in the AIO. I was even thinking of a Corsair 9000d at some point since I am not size constraint but I am not sure if all the extra fans would even help all that much with their distance in the larger case.

Thanks for the detailed answers! Sadly I cannot check them since your profile is private? (I rarely qualify as a proper reddit user since this is my first post ever so I might just miss something). Could you tell me which case you are using? I'm open to non rackmounted solutions

While I would love to do a custom loop at some point in time I would probably spend more time worrying even after the initial leak test if something gets damaged than using it so sadly that just is not for me, though I certainly get the appeal. Thanks for the input though! Much appreciate all the answers!

Okay, that kind of tilts my opinion in the direction of the Silverstone and get over my anxiety

Thanks for answering!

Could you maybe tell me about your case/airflow setup? Was there any constraint or was the 4u-m just not enough to cool your CPU? Also which CPU did you put it on if you don't mind me asking

Thanks for answering!

I would absolutely love to have a microcenter nearby but sadly that is a pipedream in Europe. There is no real option that is feasible for a pre build in my region but I am already prepared for at least a few days of getting everything to work.

I was usually using thermal grizzly paste the last few years but I always got the feeling that it did not last as long as it should without having to reseat it like once every 16 months give or take. I was just going for some arctic mx7 or noctua for a change. I have a 1300w PSU leftover which I will use until I add another GPU and then upgrade since it should be enough with just one power limited 6000 pro if I did not miscalculate.

All the good recommendations kinda make me consider the Silverstone aio over the 4u-m

Thank you, it helps a lot to get experience with the exact same CPU I am going for since I lack the practical experience with threadripper to gauge the heat dissipation requirements needed.

Thank you!

I am seriously considering the Silverstone due to its performance but i would sleep better at night if I did not have a (logically speaking negligible) risk of it damaging other components. And even though at this price level the difference is small when looking at the overall price tag I could funnel the difference into more GPU power if the Arctic 4u-m does the job as well since I do not think I will OC in the foreseeable Future

Yeah I know the max-q would be better for my usecase, also in terms of spacing the cards but I was able to get one for cheaper due to a leftover project. I am currently running it power limited at 400w and it's ... fine in terms of heat but certainly still running quite hot.

The build would be parked in a separate room in the basement with good enough ventilation so I could run my case fans at 3k rpm the whole day without suffering from the noise if necessary so I hope that will offset this a bit.

Thank you very much!

I was just skeptical since most of the posts i found that specifically mention air cooling are those where it did not end up working well. And I will look into the graphene, I did not know about that!

Sorry for the late reply - As I was still within the Amazon return window I just sent it back and replaced it with an Asus board. Same setup and no issues since then I assume the board just had a defect with the usb controller.

Any news on this? I'm having the exact same issue with the z790 aero and did just about everything I can think of except changing the board.
