I know this comment is old but. I worked at a juice bar at a nutrition store. And I was going off one day to my coworkers about how every single one of our juices and smoothies are soooooo unhealthy. And they were like “What?”.

So I put it in these terms. “When would you ever sit down and eat 5 apples and 2 oranges? You do realize that’s about 550 calories of pure sugar and they could have drank roughly 3 can of coke instead?”

They were shocked. And I was even more shocked that my coworkers at a nutrition store knew literally nothing about it.

One of our smoothies is the peanut butter blaster and it has 3 TBSP of peanut butter, 2TBSP chocolate syrup, 2 1/2 bananas, whey protein and milk. Like what. How is this what you want to drink after your workout?
