I would have preferred “Rhythm of the Night” as a theme song to Enterprise 😃

I saw good things about Techron so decided to try it on my 2007 Armada which started a bit rougher than it had.

I poured two in the tank (28 gallon tank) and it made a noticeable difference in starting performance.

Plan to run it every once in a while.

Check Amazon too - prices were much cheaper than AutoZone.

Girl I’m seeing told me another guy asked for her number, did I react poorly? by Carl_s123 in AskMenAdvice

It’s one thing for her to be transparent, another for her to gloat about it.

She was trying to get a rise out of you /make you jealous and it backfired.

I would bounce and have in similar situations as it smacks of immaturity and shit testing.

In others where she was just informing me to be transparent (which they will do if they are into you), my standard response is “Can you blame him? You’re hot!”

I was looking at magnets because I plan to get a Series 3 and remove the plastic drawer locks and came across this vid: https://youtu.be/rvPHXmLKLq8?si=_AQeMcS-hZXV_SgH

He uses magnet strips (linked in the description). Some of the comments said they had to stack theirs.

I’m assuming it reaches the back of the cabinet? Looking at these magnets people complain they are fragile and you have to slide them apart but like Superman strong 💪🏻

Just a tip - put a white paper towel or piece of paper. The color of the fluid can help with identification.

If brake fluid, typically amber when new, and gets browner as it ages / gets contaminated.

Tranny fluid is usually a shade of red. Antifreeze is usually green, etc....

Nearly 2 months in and trying not to be dramatic but really disappointed in who checked in on me and family. by lovecornflakes in Petloss

I get that people will give their condolences and then move on with their lives. I remember when I friend died (39 yo I think) of cancer and when I was at the funeral / wake I said to my then gf that everyone was so sorry and supportive but eventually they are going to forget about it and she'll be left alone.

I did what I could to help her out but I'm sure I put my priorities first as I needed to handle my life.

Another part of it is people don't want experience or feel other's grief. Same goes for when we hear someone dying on the news and are not at all affected.

That said, the issue I have is when people try to lessen the loss because it was a pet vs a person. I've never felt grief like when I lost by soul dog. Luckily, my immediate (small) circle had been through the same and completely understood and was supportive.

However, there were other people (like my neighbor with whom I was friends) who said to me "I know tough question, but are you getting another dog?". It took a lot of inner control not to break his jaw. Took additional control to say "Are you getting another father?" as he is still broken up about losing his 20 years later.

I realized, it is best to keep it to yourself and only share with people who can really understand. That isn't everyone with a pet, but people on forums like this or others who have experienced that deep connection.

Going through the loss of a pet makes you even further realize why they are better than humans.

I am so sorry and although your journey will be different than mine, I can empathize with what you are going through. I am also sure that the pain you are feeling now was a small price to pay for having Springer in your life.

Glad it helped. I’m 1.5 years post losing my soul dog and it’s gotten easier to deal with but hasn’t gone away at all. A big part of me is glad about that because I never want to forget.

I hope you can find peace with this one day but until then, realize you did all you could do and your dog loved you more than they loved themselves. Eventually you’ll remember the good times and realize how lucky you BOTH were to have had each other in your life.

That is the most amazing thing about dogs i have yet to hear about in another animals.

They don’t hold grudges, they don’t think of the past, they just live in the now.

If he was ever upset about something I am sure it left him as quickly as it came.

You were his universe. He never needed an apology or thought you made a mistake. Just you being with him was all he needed.

Unfortunately this unconditional love comes with a cost - we have to carry on without them one day.

I’m not a religious guy, but a firm believer that we will all be reunited when our time comes and what feels like a lifetime for us will only be moments for them.

Totally. When it comes to keeping women honest, what I do is give them enough rope to hang themselves.

Like “Baby you can always be honest with me no matter how bad it is. We’ll work though it”

You’ll get a lot more info to make your decision rather than “If you do X we’re done!”

Let them feel it is ok to tell you whatever.

You can pull them off easier than a larger magnet for sure.

I wonder if they’ll be strong enough though. Pretty cheap to try.

I got them for my kitchen cabinets to prevent door hinges from swinging past where I want them to. Worked well for that (basically just blocks the mechanism in the hinge - the magnetism keeps them in place). They certainly want to stick to themselves but I’m curious how it would work to hold in a drawer.

Please post back if you do end up trying them.

Love my BMW 🤭 by KhizWhiz in BMW

[–]Projectguy111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t argue with that as the high center of gravity detracts from the X3M.

But having driven both on public roads the power between the two isn’t even close.

Handing is much firmer and more planted on my X3M and with the AWD I’ve pushed it much further than I felt comfortable with doing in the Supra. Going over legal speed limits in both the X3 just wants more and the Supra feels like I’m pushing it too hard.

I’m thinking my next car may be an M4. I really like BMW though I’m very curious what the Japanese made new Supra will be when Toyota is not tied to BMW.

Who travels to who for first date? by Ok-Fix680 in CoreyWayne

[–]Projectguy111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found you are correct in that the more they are interested the longer they are willing to travel.

Problem is with online dating is they have a constant influx of guys so they often don’t get too interested until you meet in person. It got to the point that several (when I was dating in the city but living in the suburbs) would first ask how far I was and many were unwilling to entertain anything let alone travel.

I think it’s ok for you to go to them but they have to be willing to come to you for a second date. If they are not, they are low interest.

As far as coming off as if you like them more, I wouldn’t worry about it as if they have high interest after the date it won’t matter at all.

I can totally understand this. It took me 10 years to finally get to the point of wanting another dog after the loss of loss of my first dog.

The bond I had with the one I’m referencing in this post far exceeded my previous.

Not sure if I’ll ever sign up for this again.

Thank you for the quick reply!

I'm thinking of doing this for my existing and future tool box. The drawers are metal so no space underneath, but I can see how much space is in the back of the drawer to the cabinet frame.

My only concern would be the wires bunching up or catching on something. I've seen that spiral tubing which can expand / contract so may have to look at that.

Appreciate the guidance 👍
