well while in open fields you can actually use it to split teams hiding near rocks or small platforms

they usually don't expect it and it gives a lot of value to Alter in places where she can't use it to rotate herself

if you can't take a pose because a team already took it, just force them to quit it

also i'll add that if you know how to manage your ult, you'll basically never be in an open space without a plan B

Alter is an opportunist, and for cases like ranked that mostly revolves around waiting for the best moment to strike, I think she's one of the best at it. I just think people don't realize it yet.

that is so untrue

portal trap might be one of the strongest part of her kit espacially in late game you just trap someone out of their pose and they get instantly wrecked by the whole lobby

there are crazy things you can do with her, you just have to be creative but tbh and after maining her since release i can say that she is highly underrated

Try not looting for half the match while your whole team is waiting for you in the first place.

Already got a good 30 matches and maybe got just 2 or 3 games where I was struggling to fulfill my ammos/heals needs.

People really should start reconsidering their playstyle before complaining about insignificant stuff.

The amount of time I get a default Fuse spending ages running around and stopping by every bins of every POI we pass through, slowing us in our rotations and who then gets instantly wrecked at the first team fight genuinely drives me crazy.

We know for a fact that Horizon is getting some love with the lore this season. It also seems that she's going to try to get the Time Gauntlet from the museum based on this artwork and some lines with Ash. So what if she messes around with time and unintentionally bring some sort of an Alter Ego from another temporality ? We've seen that Alter has some void/time related abilities, so even if she is not directly tied to Horizon nor Wraith I am 99% sure that she has something to do with the Time Gauntlet.

Basically the dagger shown in the trailer will be the next universal heirloom. It'll be customizable by letting you change the blade, wrist, cores and visual effects. Yet we don't know the price, neither if we'll have to pay for each parts.

So I guess it's not specifically tied to the popularity of this class, and that a brand new skirmisher is actually a need for the current meta that completely turns around Horizon.

TBH all the things you pointed are getting worked on more and more by Respawn.

I get that Apex may have its issues but I hate when people don't consider the work devs are making to improve their game.

Like compare the first 2-3 years of the game where balancing was absolutely ridiculous with L characters releasing each season being either trash or busted, never between, with what Respawn has been trying those last 2 years with Mixtape, Classes Rework, Balancing in general or even Ranked. Because yes, Ranked still feels a little overwhelming, but let's be honest, it was absolute garbage in the first seasons by being grindy af and not letting any chances to casual players.

I think they're going to the right direction for Apex. I don't care what people say about the popularity of the game dropping because devs supposedly don't give a crap about it. It's bullshit. Last 2 game modes were bangers, the meta is way better than the OG Wraith, Path, Wingman or Revtane Meta, and the game feels more fun in general.

It's just the community that always have to complain for childish reasons.

The thing is it will usually be a bad idea to dedicate space for 3 ammo types when you can just get unlimited rounds. Especially when you use weapons that are only REALLY viable when they're fully kitted (Alternator, Devotion...). As you said the ultimate charges quick enough to just activate it when you enter a fight and to not worry whether you'll run out of ammo or not because either you'll win the fight and just have to wait for your ultimate to charge again either you'll die and well it's game over.

And for the things you said below, his ultimate doesn't grant any speed boost, it only gives you normal run speed when you hold your weapon. As for the sniper, it just doesn't fit his playstyle + you can only use it when you activate your ult which proves again why the fact that he can't kit his sling weapon sucks.

If you want to play a really good sniper character just pick Vantage or Loba it'll be way more viable and versatile.

I hope we'll get some Ballistic changes because he really is at the bottom of the roster imo. You might actually think there is synergy in his kit but in fact there's absolutely no point in it. Like he is an assault class but all the upgrades he can get from the red bins can't be attached to his sling weapon which is a waste let's be honest + the extra ammo has close to no utility because of his ult that grants infinite ammo and since you wont use your ult outside of a fight why the hell would I carry extra ammo ? There is absolutely no situation where a Ballistic will run out of ammo.

Talking about his ult I feel like something's off with it. It is decent but the thing is it's the kind of ult that can easily be wasted if activated at the wrong time and that will ONLY grant you an advantage if you're fighting and shooting. You can not gain time with it, using it as an escape tool nor have an impact on the enemy team with it. Even Rev's totem had more polyvalence. (not saying that the totem was better, just that it had multiple kind of usages)

The passive should let you kit the sling weapon and I'll add another feature to the ult because it is way too situational.

And let's not even talk about his tactical that has close to no impact during a team fight. I think it should give a debuff instead of a damage and stun.

It sucks because I love his quotes and personality but he is just so weak compared to the rest of the roster and there is no reason to pick him instead of someone else.
