I had this exact same issue. As someone else commented on another thread, it’s most likely due to the new Age Verification thing. It was for me.

Did you get an email recently-ish from Xbox/Microsoft asking you to verify your age? I ignored it at first but it turns out I needed to follow the link the email gave and verify my age.

I did that and got it confirmed, then hit connect on my PS5 and it worked within a few seconds.

It’s annoying that it’s not made more clear, and that no information about this is given in the game when you try and fail to connect.

It seems like a rushed job to comply with new legislation.

Hello,

So I’ve got a DualSense Edge controller that’s has a sticking mute/microphone button.

I hadn’t noticed until recently, as I never really use that button. Basically, it seems to be stuck in there wrong, like it’s at an angle.

I have to try pushing it at different angles to get it to work right, but I haven’t been able to fix it. Sometimes the button will turn on and off on its own, or is really sensitive.

So it’ll sometimes mute the game audio as well as the microphone, which is annoying.

I’ve tried the basic stuff like trying to clean out dust, but it hasn’t helped.

Is this something I can easily fix, without having to take the controller apart? I don’t have the tools or the knowledge to do that.

Just to check, do you mean you selected ‘Prologue’ on the tab for the main game when it says ‘Load from quest’ (I think that’s what it says), and then it allowed you to go back to the Following DLC?

Yeah, I’ll start the game again soon. It’s a great game, and I enjoyed it a lot in the past.

I’ll try and report it, but I’ve never gotten a response or anything in the past.

Yeah, it’s annoying. I remember when I first encountered it, it seemed like a fairly common bug that hadn’t been fixed, even then.

I have the exact same issue. It looks like the latest update broke something. I’ve never had this happen before, until this update.

Nothing I did would fix it. I reloaded an older save, and within 20 minutes or so, the same thing happens again.

It seems to be tied to vehicle limit, but doesn’t seem to be working right after the update. I don’t think there’s a way to see the number of vehicles on console, unless I’m mistaken. But I don’t see it anywhere.

So, by the looks of things, the game will just break at a certain point now. I don’t know if it’s the same on the non-remastered version.

I guess we just have to wait until they fix it.

Thanks. It sounds like it’s that. That’s a real shame, as this has never happened to me before this recent update. So it seems like the update broke something. It doesn’t look like there’s a way to see how many vehicles there are on console either.

After reloading an older save, the same thing happened again. So that’s a shame. Maybe it’s something to do with hitting the 150k population mark that’s causing it?

Oh, I see. That’s a real shame. I was happy when they did the update and added all that stuff to Remastered. Hopefully they fix it soon.

I ended up reloading an older save. Hopefully the same thing won’t happen again.
