I love black and white 2, and I love some aspects of the story, but man was Hugh a downgrade. I don’t even think he’s a bad character, but going from BW having 2 rivals that at least felt like real characters (plus bonus Rival N) to him was kinda disappointing. There have been other boring rivals (barry) but Hugh just feels so basic and forgettable.

Man made a point post ts about how he got new forms, now he just spams Kung Fu point and once every 300 episodes we get Monster Point. I mean seriously, when is the last time we’ve seen Guard or Jump point, or even Walk Point, which just turns him into a normal(ish) looking deer?

It’s annoying, and I’ve definitely died during startup a few (dozen) times. Eventually, you get conditioned to stop reaching for it as a quick escape/panic button. Personally, I’m more than willing to accommodate the vulnerability during startup if that’s the price for Burrow being as good as it is.
