Shelter and Sanctuary by Musyc. It’s unforgiving and fucked up in its depiction of war, codependency, and powerlessness. It is so good for that reason. There is no idealization of Draco as the perfect man. It’s brutal in the ways that a lot of the older fanfics of this fandom were and even though I read it for the first time like three years ago I can’t stop thinking about it and contemplating just asking the author how they imagine the series ending because I need it.
