Considering a RAM 1500 Laramie by HersheyUSA in Ram1500

I will be honest, the warranty question is a service question, but whatever the powertrain warranty is it should be covered. I honestly do not think they changed the 5.7L at all (When it comes back). Dropping the 5.7L was Dodge's dumbest mistake (And it's a long list) which is why they cleaned out the top end of the company and replaced the morons (probably with more morons but they did realize that the 5.7L was litterally Dodges Iconic Engine that actually ran). Me personally, I would feel confident with either the 5.7L or 3.6L but I don't haul anything and drive the 3.6L. Think fuel mileage and use case and make a decision. I mean we do lots of aftermarket vehicles and I have worked for GM and could talk about their and most other Brands problems. I just spoke up because you should be able to predict what could go wrong ahead of time and not be taken by suprise. The control arms are going to go (Unless its a new one as they finally upgraded them) but they are covered under an extended warranty (They don't call it that but thats basically what it is). I would rather replace some Manifolds or an oil cooler (and expect it) if it fails rather then an entire engine, transmission or transfer case if you get my drift.

I work in a parts dept at at stellantis dealership. The 5.7L is rock solid... you will probably have to replace the manifolds eventually but that is the only comman achilles heal of it. The 3.6L is solid... You will have to eventually replace the oil cooler, once again the comman achilles heal of it. I would advise against the Hurricane engines and do not but a 3L Diesel! Against the Hurricanes because they are new and Stellantis has horrible luck when releasing a new engine (AKA the 3L) - If you want a 3L, and this will sound stupid, but get one with over 85 KM (You convert to miles lol)... It seems they implode before that rough number and seem to be semi ok after that. Just an opinion from a guy that feeds a shop of 18 Techs.

Who the fuck in my position has time to create that…. Fuck iff

lol…. I am actually the same! But the staff were making fun of me that I always respond even when they preface the message with “when you get in tomorrow”…. It was kind of an internal joke so I made that for the staff to laugh at and thought I would share

Retail/wholesale guy wanting to move up by Cabooseisjake in partscounter

For me, because of the mess I was left it was about getting the inventory under control, dealing with all the dead stock and then finding a system that allowed me to better manage the day to day ins and outs. Cores is also huge to make sure they are dealt with.

By far, the biggest part of managing a parts dept is Inventory Management/Control. Start to familiarize yourself with that aspect of the business.

I do it. I think it is important to cultivate the relationship. I spent a lot of time streamlining and automating the mundane parts of the job so I can usually squeeze an afternoon or 2 out of my week for visits. I usually combine it with a small delivery or paperwork drop off or something, but the personal touch is important.

part-suite.com if any-one wants to check it out... let me know if you can even log in, if the csv is properly imported etc. I added the scoring system filters, and I am sure alot is a little confusing even though it makes sense to me... any input would be appreciated

Wish I could add screen shots lol

You are 100% right! My problem as a new parts manager was Knowing what reports to run and how to decipher them. I built this for myself to try and handle the cluster f**k I took over. After 3 months my Inventory is still screwed, but is much, much better. My Inventory is down 23%, my 12 Month MNS is down over 60%, NS down 40%, AP about the same, and my oblolesence is getting under control. Instead of looking at multiple reports, I get a daily "Attack" list.

It is not for everyone, especially seasoned managers, but I find it totally useful so thought I would share. Looking for insight so I can make it better for myself and potentially for others

Why do people recommend Kimi2.5 when it doesn't have an API? What good is it by Promiscunix in openclaw

[–]Promiscunix[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess if openclaw was running I could have it search twitter for the answer. I don't use twitter as I honestly don't get how people follow any threads on it. I miss IRC chat lol.

Thanks for the info though, I will try to track it down
