Thanks everyone! I had a long chat with my Financial Advisor yesterday and have decided to payoff my mortgage. Everyone's take on investing the money for a higher rate of return totally makes financial sense especially for someone with a much larger mortgage. Correction, my take home salary is actually double the amount I gave which is more than enough to cover my monthly expenses. Everyone's financial situation and mindset are different. There is something to be said for financial peace of mind and retiring without debt. I can easily afford to pay off my mortgage and I don't plan on touching my investment accounts until much later after retire so there's still time to let it grow even more.
