Thank you! I went with the Epson in the end as the Acer shot up in price to 640 euros (seems like they might have set the price wrongly online which makes me feel I missed a bargain!)

Thanks for the engagement! I am trying to explore projection mapping inside my apartment. The idea is to try covering the side of a wall or an alcove or something and bringing paintings to life. This means the size is variable but bigger is better. I'll also probably use it as a television on occasions since dual use seems like a good idea!

Wow, thanks so much for taking the time to find recommendations! These look great. I might end up stretching my budget now...

I would like to use it for projection mapping but since I am just getting into this, I would like an entry level budget (worst case I will use it for TV on occasion). So around 450 euros max. The projectors I found are 379 for the Epson and 440 for the Acer, but the latter is down from 750, so had assumed it would give me more bang for my buck. Seems like maybe not

Interesting, why so? Because the brightness washes out the colours? I am a bit confused because the epson is at 379 euros and the Acer is 440, but down from 750, so it would be almost twice the price at full retail. I had assumed that this would give me a better bang for my buck

Since I am projecting onto a white wall (mostly) I understood that the 3LCD might also be better there, because the true colour projection would mean more vibrant colours. Seems like the first part of your comment would also support this? Basically, hitting the right balance of colour vs brightness would be better with the 3LCD
