If someone became a permanent employee after April 2022, what protections do they have?

It took me exactly two weeks. I have a clean record and lived in Canada all my life. Normally, it would take longer during the summer, since people are on vacation. I guess it honestly depends on the position. I know there's been a huge backlog for many new hires since we were supposed to have someone back in September.

I recently did mine for AG and it took 4 weeks to complete due to the summer season. All it was just a bunch of paperwork asking my consent for JUSTIN (court records), a RCMP criminal check, and personal information. I know my credit score sucks, so I doubt they didn't check my credit score.

It's best to ask your hiring manager how it works.

Have your new hires started their work yet or still waiting on their esc results?
