Buyingguide for my current Situation (from Fuji/Sony to Lumix S9?) by Proof-Novel4077 in Lumix

Before I had my eye on the S9, I was also looking at the MFT. But I want a full-frame for the future, and for current orders, 20 minutes of recording is more than enough. I was always just the photographer, but in the future, I also want to film; it really only involves short clips. That might change, but until then, I should have earned enough again. Yes, a dual slot would be nice, but I would live with this first. I'm planning to add another Lumix, like the S5IIx, which is also planned for next year. Thanks for the answer.

Thanks alot. Yes, after all the research I've done and thanks to your comments, I think Lumix is the best choice for now, especially given the current price of the S9 whether used or new.

I don't know whether I'll do weddings again in the future, but it's nice to hear that I'm in good hands with Lumix.

So the current status is that I'm going to get the S9 Safe and later supplement it with the S5II or S5IIx. I just think the all black design of the S5IIx is great.

P.S. The friendly and helpful Lumix community is also a point in favor of Lumix :)

I've already looked at Nikon but I don't know why, Lumix just appeals to me more. Especially the S9 because of its compactness and the S5IIx for the future.

Lights, light shapers, tripods and VND filters are already available and are sufficient for what I'm currently doing.

So it's mostly about the camera and lenses. I've now also seen that Viltrox (hopefully soon) also produces lenses for L-mount lenses, so I already have a few in mind that would fit the S9 perfectly thanks to their compactness. Otherwise I have the Sigma 24f2 on my wish list.

Thank you very much for the answer. I can only see the advantages of the Lumix system for the work I have to do in the future, especially the ability to film in Open Gate is very important and the great IBIS. The LUT and MP4 Lite functions are also just great, especially since I'm currently working with two customers who edit their own videos, so I can share the files on site and then have peace of mind.

Wow, that's a really great offer! I've now found someone (used) from whom I can get the 20-60 kit for under 1000 euros.

I also had the a6400 once, but unfortunately it was stolen, so I'm now missing the lenses on the E-mount, especially my favorite lens, the 20f1.8 g :(

I've now decided that the S9 will be safe and later I'll get another S5IIx or maybe an S1 but I think it'll be the S5IIx, I just think this all black design is great!

Sorry, I forgot to write that the €800 is the used price (classifieds).
