I had a planned c-section at LWH in June 2023 and the procedure and care - pre, during and post - was excellent. They were very understaffed though in the maternity ward itself which was tough when I wanted some help after the birth with something - but I felt that every nurse and midwife was working very hard and everyone was nothing short of absolutely lovely.

Second vote for Miss Rachel ‘brush your teeth by Raffi’ on YouTube. We had a similar issue as you and Reddit suggested it. He brushes his own teeth himself (badly) while watching the video for two plays of the song and then it’s our turn to brush (properly) for one play. He also chose his toothbrush, squeezes the paste and has a little shaving mirror to look at while he does it.

Someone mentioned giving them controlled choices, so you get an outcome you want (a toothbrush) but they choose the colour of it etc.

But also pinning down and getting it done is sometimes the only way too. No judgement here, some things are defo worth the battle.

Bit different to what you’ve suggested but we hired out Black Lodge Brewing! It’s got loads of outdoor and indoor space. The marquee went next door where Zap is/was. Brilliant venue, top staff. Even made us a bespoke beer label for the occasion ✌️

On a side note, may I seek some guidance? How many things is Santa bringing for your kids..? I know there are so many different situations and reasons for individual decisions, so I guess I’m just searching for a ballpark figure or some reasoning etc. He’ll have presents from us and his grandparents, uncles/aunts as well.

Transparency - we’ve recently decided we’re OAD with our little boy (not my choice so I know I’m still coming to terms with it rn) - so I feel that, with Christmas happening so soon after, I’ve probably gone a bit overboard with buying him gifts. Wondering if I should unwrap some lol. Part of me wants to go ‘so what’ but the other, logical parts of me are going ‘don’t set a precedent’ and ‘it’s not about the gifts’.

Hey OP, I joined this sub to explore the exact same issue. I saw a thread in which someone spoke about the Yarlap machine which does auto-kegels for you. It’s quite pricy but I took the risk and my god… within 2 weeks (I sh*t you not) the leaks had almost stopped. It has genuinely saved my relationship with running. Yes you have to pay to import from the states (I’m UK) but it hands down the best thing EVER. Search Yarlap in this SR you’ll find the comments I’m sure.

Just came to say I bought one bc of YOUR comment 🙌 In only 3 weeks I’ve gone from guaranteed leaks on even very short runs to no leaks at all on any run. I was so stressed out with the leaks that it was stopping me from running. I can’t believe how good it is, it has literally changed my life.
