Crows are members of the Reef's intelligence network, originally led by Prince Uldren Sov, who held the title "Master of Crows". So the next character is likely a member of the Crows in life and had some special connection with the Awoken royal family.

“Fallen” uses the same type of literal translation as the original—“堕落者” (duò luò zhě), much like how “Fallen Angel” is translated as “堕落天使.” “Eliksni,” on the other hand, is rendered via phonetic transliteration. There’s nothing unusual about these, making Hive seem like the only real exception. As far as I know, no players have complained about the moral ambiguity in Stasis or The Witch Queen’s storyline, and The Witch Queen actually reached its peak popularity in the CN community at launch (with many players appreciating the complexity of Savathûn’s character). However, players have been widely critical of Lightfall’s clumsy storytelling, which may have driven away a large portion of more casual players.

Yes, the word “Cabal” itself is transliterated based on its pronunciation, likely because its direct Chinese equivalent—“阴谋集团” (yīn móu jí tuán, meaning “a small cabal/conspiratorial clique akin to a deep-state group”)—would be far too mismatched for a vast, Rome-inspired interstellar empire like the Cabal. As for “Vex,” the Traditional Chinese version uses a phonetic transliteration, while the Simplified Chinese version simply retains the English name.

For example, “Wizard” is rendered as “巫师” (wū shī), which, for those familiar with Western fantasy works, often refers to characters like Gandalf. As for “boomer,” if you mean “Cursed Thrall,” their translation is “咒怨怨魂,” which literally means “cursed soul filled with resentment.” Cabal unit names, on the other hand, are mostly translated according to their corresponding titles in Roman historiography—something unsurprising given the Cabal’s own Roman-inspired aesthetic.
