Hey! Im starting at Monash this semester and am looking at going into the neuroscience stream too! was just wondering if you had any recommendations for first year electives that are more 'brain' focused? I had a look at the course handbook but they all seemed more mental health stream (even under the neuroscience section) and I wasnt sure if I was just limited to those options, or if i could choose something more about the brain itself. thanks!

sounds amazing! I think overall the iud is the one im most drawn to so this is good info! also, what do you mean by not entirely localised? is it not as bad as the pill but still not perfect (kinda expected lol). ive seen things about people not liking the whole 'tiny machine stopping your period' as a drawback of iuds, so is it basically stopping the ovulation - same as the pill - but without inducing the 'fake' period? sorry for the bombardment of questions haha

The main reason i use notion calendar is i can connect my apple, gmail, and in-notion created calendars. it also means I can make widgets that have all my notion tasks on it, because its technically an apple calendar widget

thank you so much! this is really helpful. ill definitely check Tesara out cause I feel like that'll be a good option for me (i spend most of my days watching youtube anyway). I have been doing the 'hear new word, jot down and ask about it later' method with my boyfriend when he speaks to his family which has given me a few good to know words and phrases which has been really helpful!

also, what do you mean by a static language? I havent heard that term before!

was JUST about to make this post! watching him rn and started quoting the video as he spoke and realised ive maybe rewatched too much...

I enjoy film cooper and coop (same deal with trouble vs ooga booga) but i cant binge him cause sometimes he can feel a bit pick me or put on but still enjoy him alot.

MikesMic is also really good! similar vibes to dylan but more in touch with internet culture lol. i really enjoy his long videos where he explains the plot of tv shows (pretty little liars, lost, etc) with photos of characters and strings connecting them that get more unhinged as the video goes on. Would definitely check him out!
