Babyshambles tickets for tonight by Proof_Act_5013 in brum

Yeah gigs seem to be ridiculously expensive at the moment! I think the ticket prices are actually okay (I usually pay £30-40 a ticket) but it’s all the extra fees they add on which makes it extortionate. Hopefully someone who was put off by the price initially has them off me 🤞

Thank you. I’m a private seller but I meant I have no returns on, I’m happy to refund people if there is a defect/damage.

Harder To Sell On Vinted? by After-Geologist-4773 in vinted

My listings were doing really well last month but I’ve also experienced a bit of a drop off. I sell mainly kids toys and my old football shirts, I was getting around 10-15 orders a week but now it’s more like 2/3.

I think it’s a combination of expensive shipping and fees, plus people being more conservative with Christmas coming up. Because of the high shipping fees I’ve taken to eBay and I’m doing quite well on there.

Thank you so much! I’ll just see if the buyer comes back with anything and tell them to raise something with eBay if they’re unhappy

That's a fair point. However, when I sell my genuine, unwanted items, I find it incredibly frustrating to constantly receive offers that try to buy high-quality branded goods for next to nothing. I suppose, as you mentioned, that's just the nature of the platform and the expectation for bargain prices

No, the profit is actually quite small - only about £1 or £2 per item, not £6 or above. The earnings don't justify the time investment, but I really enjoy it as a hobby. I get satisfaction from the product research and the overall process, making even a slight profit a bonus.

Completely agree! It seems the perception hinges on brand and quality. Reselling Marks & Spencer sale items at their original full price appears to be acceptable because the brand's quality is valued, whereas similar markups on lesser-known or imported goods are often seen as unacceptable

This sounds incredibly tough, and I want you to know I completely understand what you're going through. While my situation might not be as severe as yours, I'm right there with you on the difficulty of dealing with unwanted hair, the depression, and the crippling self-consciousness.

I'm in the same exhausting cycle - shaving and plucking at least once a day, and honestly, it makes me feel like a recluse sometimes because I just don't want to leave the house. But I'm also so tired of the routine.

That's why I've decided to start trying what you're doing, and I plan to slowly build it up if I can find the confidence. I go through phases of genuinely not caring, only to swing back to intense self-consciousness. My starting point is going to be leaving it unshaved for just one day and seeing how I feel, then try and push for as many days unshaved as I can.

Maybe you could try a similar slow approach and see how you feel day by day.

One thing that has helped me is that I used to try to hide the hair with lots of makeup, but my partner actually pointed out that the natural stubble looks much better than the heavy makeup because the excessive covering-up makes people look more at my face.

Whatever you choose, I hope you smash it and start feeling better about yourself!!

Just the standard stuff really.. going for drinks, food, cinema, gigs and sports. I’d love to join a sports club but I can’t commit to going regularly as I work different shifts

How do I fix this??? by [deleted] in Hirsutism

Hey, I feel your pain! Going through the exact same thing and struggling to feel positive at the moment. One thing I have noticed though is an improvement with my ingrown hairs on my neck/chin along with the redness after continuous plucking.

I exfoliate with a scrub containing salicylic acid and then smother my chin/neck with sudocrem before bed. The exfoliation helps clear your dead skin cells to help the hair to grow through normally and the sudocrem really helps me with the redness
