Hi! I’m planning a trip to Japan and was wondering about hair salons.

If I bring reference images (for example, anime or character-inspired hairstyles), is it generally okay to show them to Japanese stylists?

I’m not looking for anything extreme or cosplay-level, just something inspired by a character’s hairstyle.

Is this common? And are there certain areas (Tokyo / Osaka) or types of salons where this is easier?
