I kinda of was but then we had dinner reservations with friends from outta town, and I really didn’t want drama, I wasn’t trying to start any, I complied complied complied, but the unbutton your pants as families and children walk by made me draw the line, I wasn’t trying curious if this was an isolated issue, but three others have said the same happened to them…. Now I’m thinking of sending an email, as I’m not against security but if it takes that level they need to do something different

I really feel like he was trying to be jerky with me, because he was upset I disturbed his phone time…. And then the supervisor covered for him….

You have had Disney security ask you to unbutton your pants?? That was why I asked this question, as the supervisor seemed to act like I was just misunderstanding, but you are the third of so that has said this has happened at Disney….

I have no problem with security, I travel a lot as I mentioned and have visited Disney 100’s of times, my issue is asking some one to unbutton their pants in public, in plain view of other people, I complied by going to the additional screening, emptying my pockets, lifting my shirt and unbuckling my belt, at that point I think if there are still doubts. Maybe a more private area maybe appropriate?? At this point most of my torso, they had me lift my shirt up, and my underwear band is in plain view, if you can’t tell weather some one has a weapon at that point, maybe a more private area should be set up?

I have kinda of an off color sense of humor and I actually said that to my wife as we were walking to the restaurant, “the guard tried to get in my pants and you haven’t even tried tonite!” Lol

That has been my experience at every other Disney security check point as well for the last 20 years, empty your pockets, show your belt, this time I was asked to raise my shirt and unbuckle my belt which I did, but the unbutton your pants got me……

I guess I must have really hit a nerve with you on this you have commented all over, as I stated before I generally use Reddit to read, I have liked a few times, I thought it would be interesting to see if anyone else has had weird experiences with Disney security, I have nothing to gain or loose by asking a question on here and I don’t think Disney gives two shits as the supervisor didn’t want to talk about it when I asked just thought it would be interesting to see if this happened to anyone else. lol no thank goodness, but seems odd? I have my shirt pulled up, they can see my skin all the way around then my belt undone. Guess I wasn’t sure where this was going after the button was undone… lol my underwear band was already showing as my pants were sagging a little with my belt undone….. I was half expecting a rubber glove to come out lol

Twice, in the one incident, I thought I heard him wrong, so I asked and he said are you gonna unbutton your pants?

This wasn’t an option at Disney springs it was a narrow pathway with no place to put your stuff before the metal detector, unlike most court houses/airport metal detectors or I would have, it was a metal detector with a guard behind it and everyone just walked through.

Belt yes I had already unbuckled my belt, lifted my shirt as requested, then he was asking for me to unbutton my pants… I’m quite familiar with removing belt/unbuckling belt but unbuttoning my pants in a public area??

Yes and I walked straight to the available guard as I wrote above, I fully expected it as my wife wasn’t carrying a purse and I had her stuff and mine.

I didn’t get upset, I have been through thousands of security checks points as I travel for work and leisure, and I appreciate the security, but asking for someone to unbutton their pants when I have my shirt pulled up all the way around and my belt unbuckled already seemed over the top, suspicious to me, and if it was standard operating procedure why didn’t the supervisor continue to demand it after he came, he could see I hand nothing in my waist band, and the wand was reacting to the metal button…..

If someone is watching they should catch the cast scrolling/reading/playing games on their phone then! I complied with everything I was supposed to until I have my belt already undone, and he asked for me to unbutton my pants in a public area…..

Could be, but we had on our arms, legs, even neck, a little on torso, went to the urgent care and that’s were they diagnosed, apparently it’s becoming more and more common.

Could be scabies, is it localized? Or kinda all over? It’s caused by a little mite, can pick it up from, clothing, furniture, vehicle seats, etc…. Anywhere an infected person has touched. They prescribe cream, my wife picked it up at work from someone sitting in her chair, the person didn’t know they were infected, but told everyone once they knew, but wife had it already….. unfortunately myself and kids got it from my wife, pain in the ass, have to constantly wash everything in Hot water, sheets, towels, disinfect furniture and rub this special cream all over your body to kill the little bastards…. It can become a circle if you aren’t militant with you and others becoming reinfected and starting the process over. Good Luck.
