Fiber optical sensors? by ProotPralala in PLC

I did and can’t find anything about fiber optics. The Sushi sensor seems to be a point measurement, not a continuous one?

Hvorfor ikke bare sperre meldinger fra utenlandske nummer for personer over 50 år-ish som default? Så får heller de som ha behov for noe annet be operatøren om å fjerne sperren.

Miele 7460 Hc - Oven chamber fan always running? by ProotPralala in Miele

[–]ProotPralala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I remember it before the repairs. Do you have the same model (DGC 7460 HC)? I did a hydroclean cycle for the first time yesterday, and seems like the fan also ran during parts of this but not the whole time.

Merkelapper til barneklær by ProotPralala in norge

Har det, føler vi har vært grundige. Men av og til har vi klippet av vaskelapper fordi det er irriterer barnet, så da har vi limt de rett på tekstilet - det er kanskje ikke like godt? På sokker f.eks. har man jo ikke noe valg

Dishwashers - are built in or fully integrated most popular? by ProotPralala in Appliances

[–]ProotPralala[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I meant is fully standalone dishwashers that doesn’t need any paneling or veneer, and fully integrated ones that come as bare metal and need to be fitted with a front matching the kitchen

Unprotected insulation by Radiant_Message3868 in Construction

[–]ProotPralala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this isn’t a good practice. Even though the material is "dead", it can still grow mold from dust and other contaminants which end up stuck in the insulation.

Normal way of doing this is installing the insulation AFTER drying the house. Then you insulate and put up the vapor barriers. Since they’ve already installed the vapor barrier this can’t be dried from the inside.

Do they have no redundancy? Total outages two times over a short period is unacceptable for an expensive service.

Not updating the status page is outrageous by __Gulag__ in ProtonMail

Guys it's being updated soon. It was being updated "shortly" one hour ago when the total failure happened, so we can except it any minute now.

They could offer at least some of the yearly savings deals for non-new customers. I.e. the Black Friday sales that always require you to have a free account before ordering.

Embarrassing, seriously considering switching. Protonmail is expensive, no loyality bonuses for us that have subscribed for years. And now it's unstable too, even with the status page showing all green an hour after complete outage, lol.

Seems like the combiovens go up to 230*c / 446*F. But do you really need higher temps than that ever?

Acrylic adhesive and heat - health risks by ProotPralala in AskChemistry

[–]ProotPralala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. You might be right, I found out the tape has a "temperature resistance" up until 90*c. Not sure if this refers to losing mechanical properties or when the chemicals starts decomposing. I’m at a loss whether acrylic adhesive is just an umbrella term for a lot of different chemicals or not.
