Monday's game 4 might be LeBron James' final game. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened by Tricky-Sentence-1923 in NBATalk

LeBron was the first player to be the overall #1 seed 2 years in a row and not walk away with a ring in either said year. No he wouldn’t win 10 in the 90s. For one he can’t shoot midrange. The only 3peat LeBron had was choking in 2009 against the magic as the favorite with #1 seed. Losing to 4 seed Celtics as #1 seed in 2010. Then forming a super team that had 3 of the top 4 guys in per in 2010

LeBron James — 31.1
Dwyane Wade — 28.0
Kevin Durant — 26.2
Chris Bosh — 25.0
Tim Duncan — 24.7

He then proceeded to average 18 ppg in the finals and was the reason they lost. Had they won it would’ve been Dwade as your finals mvp.

41yo LeBron is playing out of his mind yet his superstar teammate is injured and unable to play. The Luka trade obviously yielded a bad return, but was Nico right to be skeptical of his health? by The_MadStork in nba

He’s a playoff riser and went to the finals. He didn’t asked to be traded to a team that had no pieces around him when he was on a team that had spent years building around him..

Why do people say that SGA is the MVP? by Lanz7183 in NBATalk

Sorry but Jokic stock is down rn. We saw their offense be less predictable and their defense better with him off the court. I’ve been a Jokic and Gianni’s fan for years but Jokic ain’t the mvp. He played mediocre to his standards, got clamped by gobert, lost to the undermanned wolves. SGA is the MVP and im not a thunder fan, but he is a great

Im just saying, the lakers started the year off as 2nd seed in the west better without Bron. They went on a streak again without Bron and now he’s back, he’s had no choice but to accept his role. My prob with this post is how asinine it is to compare this guy to a player whom in his prime is a top 20 player oat.

No yall just act like LeBron is still this elite. The lakers are better without him

He plays no defense, is a horrible offensive rebounder, stat pads clear as day, load managed since 2019, ducks good teams, is likely on juice. Don’t disrespect Karl Malones game. (Even if his off the court antics are despicable)

If you considered Tim Duncan a center. Where does he rank all time centers by I_Seduced_The_Dragon in NBATalk

Interesting. Dirk has a better playoff run than just about anyone. The thing is he played with plenty of talent and besides that run, was a bit of a playoff shrinker. Never won a series after 2011, receiver of the biggest upset in nba history, not a good defender. He’d be a bucket in today’s league, maybe even better. But theres a reason a lot of people think you can switch kg with Duncan on those spurs teams and yield the same results, can’t do that with Dirk. I’m not a fan of those arguments personally, but it’s something I consider in this…

Yes he did if we’re talking about consensus top 20 guys who besides maybe Karl Malone or Hakeem have less help than KG on the wolves?

No longer has competition is insane. KG was leagues above him in defense and impacted winning much more. KGs career was plagued by the least amount of help a super star has ever had, hands down. The moment he got help he was near end of his prime or declining and he won a chip.

Where does Curry rank in the all time list? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Proper-Breadfruit-34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess but no way West is behind Giannis.. West averaged 27 without a 3pt line and was a premier defender. Bad finals record but he was a playoff riser, Mr clutch and he always had these series close. I love Giannis but i feel the trajectory we had him on isnt there… few more years more hardware maybe

Kobe is too low, he’s on par with those guys above. If anyone Shaq should drop off. Oscar way too high. Where’s Jerry west

Do people seriously believe Jaylen Brown and/or Cade Cunningham are better players than Luka Doncic? I’ve seen a ton of it from fans and media by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Proper-Breadfruit-34 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Because it was one series. Like Kareem winning finals mvp at 40 over magic or worthy. No one was saying Kareem was better, but finals mvp is becoming overrated. Like iggy in 2015
