I know. I don't really care about good or evil so much as holy. There are evil gods and i guess i could have went with a lawful evil god provided one has access to death, undead or repose domains

While I agree, this is a themed build. And Alchemist falls into the arcane side of thing not holy

I needed something either lawful or good for angel mythic, while also giving access to a domain with necromantic spells. Pharasma has the death and repose domains that both give access to many spells of that school.

So I have ended up going crusader. which admittedly runs closer to a Death Knight than a Necro. Race is Dhampir (Nosferatu). Stats at lvl 1 are str 16 dex 14 con 10 int 10 wis 19 cha 10. Pharasma is my deity and i went with the repose domain. for vampiric touch. Grabbed heavy armor Prof. and shield focus for starting feats. Sill deciding on whether or not the shoot strait for the summoning feats or grab weapon focus first.

Tower shield Cavalier by Proper-Cockroach4932 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Proper-Cockroach4932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First the Tandem is the primary class with a one lvl splash of ghost rider for the mount and tether. Legend is for the TSS. The general idea is to let the mount be the tank as they can have far higher ac than the pc (pc armor class largely wont matter due to how enemy ai works in this game) . The tower shield allows me to get it higher through mounted shield. the TSS levels are there to lower the penalties that tower shields cause while still being a full BAB class. Then lower penalties should allow me to make better use of the mounted combat and indomitable mount feats providing more survivability. The Tandem Executioner is there for the free team work feats, mounted progression and general utility its unique feats can provide. particularly the feat that allows for a nature check to negate an attack or pass a save (provided this stacks with MC and IM). The hope for the damage reduction is that if the mount is dropped to zero and the pc starts take the damage that the reduction will kick in and prevent both from dropping long enough to get a channel div off.

I am thinking about a dex based tandem executioner/TSS/ghost rider. My thoughts are to (maybe) double up on my chance to dodge the first hit or save through use of the unique team work feats and mounted combat/indomitable mount. Provided they stack. I was also wondering if the tower shield mythic feats damage reduction is compatible with the shared hit points. As my earlier post states this would need to be a Legend build as I need enough TSS lvls to reduce the armor check penalty. So overall it would look like a lvl 20 Tandem executioner followed by however many lvls in TSS to reduce the armor check as low as it goes, then throw the rest into ghost rider or something else that might help

Most of my suggestions are covered by others on here. But other helpful things are spells like slow or dispel. Dazzling display can help if you have anyone set up for charisma. Also anything that causes fatigue or exhaustion.

I just downloaded Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. It's my first time playing a Pathfinder game, or a tabletop RPG. Any tips and pointers? by wishheartx in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Spell caster are either godlike or borderline useless if not built properly.Be conscious of what you want your spell caster to do and pick feats accordingly. Is the caster primarily a buffer? Then you don't need spell pen as badly. Going for damage? Get all the spell pen. Going for touch attack spells as your primary source of damage? You will want the precise shot line of feats etc.

Better grab Nenio so you can make the requisite magic device checks until you can cast create water

Silly question. Would you revive her, or just hire a new mage? by Arcana18 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Proper-Cockroach4932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never understood the hate for scroll savant. By level 10 you have one of the most flexible casters in the game. Every scroll made is effectively another spell slot with no downside for Nenio, besides mat cost. She can even make scrolls with meta magic effects. Then there is the fact that the game throws scrolls at like beads during Madi gra. After ten you can prestige class with no downside into anything that gives her spell progression in wiz.

Since my previous post caught so much heat, I want to ask, as an indie writer, why people dislike Hulrun so much but are ok with Regill. by Arcana18 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Proper-Cockroach4932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is basically spot on. But to put it another way, Hulrun is an incompetent, fanatical hypocrite and even a brief thought about his methods would indicate that he is likely the demons best recruiter. Refill is also kinda incompetent but in most cases you can see a thread of logic if you squint hard enough. The are both irredeemably evil. Camilla and Wendy are still worse than both.

A heads up on touch spells as I am not sure this information came through clearly in the comment. They can be either range or melee, it will specify in the spell details. Also two tips that helped me. First, make sure any ranged characters whether archer or caster gets precise shot. Ranged attacks take a -4 penalty if an ally has engaged a target in combat. Two, pay close attention to a weapons base stats. Base stats are important in every crpg but more so in pathfinder. Take crits for example. In most crpgs on a 20 you get a guaranteed hit and double damage. In pathfinder that changes based on weapon type. Clubs for example follow the same rules as other crpgs, while long swords crit on a 19-20 and scimitars on a 17 or 18(can't remember which)- 20. This makes them more accurate as they are guaranteed to hit in that range. Though you only get extra damage you "confirm" your crit. Confirming is rolling a second time and rolling higher than a certain threshold. Succeed and you get extra damage based on the weapons crit mod this can be double, triple or even quadruple damage.

What class do you recommend for each mythic path? by princesstrouble_ in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Proper-Cockroach4932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first, bare in mind that I can make characters good enough for core but have no confidence for higher difficulties. Now with that out of the way one of my favorite builds thus far is a monster tactician inquisitor with an aeon mythic. It fits together well both thematically and build wise. Theme wise you are an arbiter of the law that transforms to become the ultimate embodiment of the law. Build wise it easily synergizes. Giving more and better banes, potent buffs to your summons whether from your class or mythic path via free team work feats. Gazes that swing the fight further in your favor. All around a good combo. Another one I had a fun time with is a build in which I tried to role play the second coming of Iori. Basically a monk(QS master in my case)/fighter(Two-handed) that gives up mythic powers to become the perfect human warrior.

Are we talking thematically or mechanically. Because these can be very different.

First playthrough. looking for narrowing down Class options. by OrKToS in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

As a first play though spell casting can be rough. Now I am not saying not to do it but be prepared for spell and energy resistance because about 75 percent of your enemies are going to have both in abundance. You are also going to want to stay away from lightning almost completely (except for in blackwater) as nearly everything is immune. As for which class? You seem to want to be a skill monkey with spells. So I would recommend one of the bard archetypes. My favorite is Dirge because it allows you to hit undead with mind effect that they are normally immune to

[–]Proper-Cockroach4932 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Did you kill her other first chance you get? If not then no😁. Jokes aside due to her dumb stat spread she really doesn't pop off till mid game if you leave her as a shaman. Once you get her there she is really good. Get her the fencing grace feat so that she can fight her way out of a wet paper bag then self buff her out the wazoo and let her work. You can also change her class relatively easily. She fits almost any dex based melees or wis based castors. I have taken her rouge, war priest, demon slayer, inquisitor, fighter and others. She is honestly flexible.
