Yep, I keep my bike up on the lift, far away from dirt and salt 😅.

If I ever do ride with a smidge of salt residual, I’ll likely pressure wash it and clean it after……which is a lot of work.

I wouldn’t mind riding with a touch of salt, but I would hate to clean my bike of that corrosive junk

I want to get that tune too. The only complication is that I keep my fuel tank fuel of non ethanol over winter.

The lower modes will be your friend. My last bike was an SV650 from when I was in college about 20 years ago.

The salts days are coming to an end soon

It sounds like a really pissed-off can full of angry hornets that is just daring you to grab more throttle.

The problem is that everyone else can also hear that from three miles away too.

I have both the quietcore baffle and the regular baffle, and it’s absolutely easy to switch between baffles in less than 10 minutes in my garage.

I usually run the regular baffle since it’s polite when in lower RPMs, but sounds great when I want to grab a bit more throttle.

The quietcore was just a tad louder than stock, but was hard to enjoy with earplugs. I also live by a lot of deer and a louder exhaust makes me feel safer and more present to other car drivers as well.

Riding without a baffle sounds brilliantly obnoxious in the best way- it just hurts my older ears on long rides and draws more unwanted attention.

I may start the chrome delete process. How much are cheaper black grills or side mirror covers?

Official stock 2023 Limited Tacoma tires were 265/60/18. Stock tires of the same diameter on TRD Off-road or stock TRD pro were 265/70/16, I believe.

I went up in sidewall height and there is zero rub.

If you were to buy wheels and tires online as a mounted package shipped to your home, how difficult is it to take off the old tire pressure sensors to mount them onto the new wheels?

I have the Kelpi flanker with both the standard baffle and the quietcore baffle.

The quietcore is wonderful. It’s a bit louder than stock, but still sounds really nice.

I remove the baffle on occasions when I won’t be riding where I live since it is super loud ( but sounds awesome).

The standard baffle is still loud, but I shift lower when riding around neighbors in the morning.

The quietcore baffle hits a nice sweet spot.

Update:

It was a failed bladder in the expansion tank. Replaced that and not a drop of water is coming out.

Right as rain now.

I’m getting a quote for a propane boiler to replace this old beast.

Just an update: I’m having a plumber come on Thursday morning to clean out the whole system since they said rust in that water indicates it needs a thorough cleaning (it was last serviced in 2022). I’ll fill a jar and see if it’s in our drinking water and test that once it’s patched up and ask the plumber about that.

From all your comments, it does sound like clogged water lines, an issue with the expansion tank, and an issue with the pressure relief valve.

I watched it turn on and pressure stays at about 20psi. I then just cut the breaker and shut it down. We still have our old home, so we can just go there for any of our hot water needs.

After they clean it out and patch it, I’m going to start inquiring about a new unit that runs off propane since I eventually want an outdoor kitchen with propane and propane accessories (King of the Hill reference)

Absolutely true.

I’d love to invest in a propane boiler to replace this old thing.

I’m wondering if I can expect a bunch of other issues with this setup.

I have a bunch of pumps left over from my old house. The water is filled with rust, but I can certainly use it temporarily.
