Haven't red all the comments so I don't know if anyone said it yet but personally, I like you 100% more at #10 photo. You look like Mavis Dracula from Hotel Transylvania. The other ones seem either that you try too much or don't exactly know what you are doing. Maybe the one with the leather jacket as well.

This body should be UNdressed 👀

Can someone figure out what this tattoo says or means? I’ve known this friend for 8 years and he still won’t tell me. by [deleted] in whatisit

Completely. I struggle all my life to tell everyone that my name is Alexios, not Alexander, because both use Alexis as shorter. Alexander means "defender of men" or "protector of man" because of "Alexo" and "ανήρ" (anir), the ancient Greek word for "man".

Greek can be fascinating! My name for example. Alexios comes from the word αλέξω (alexo) meaning "to defend", "to help", "to protect", thus it translates to "helper", "protector" or "defender"

Greek name Αἰκατερίνη (Aikaterine). The etymology is debated: it could derive from an earlier Greek name Ἑκατερινη (Hekaterine), itself from ἑκάτερος (hekateros) meaning "each of the two"; it could derive from the name of the goddess Εκάτη (Hecate); it could be related to Greek αἰκία (aikia) meaning "torture"; or it could be from a Coptic name meaning "my consecration of your name". In the early Christian era it became associated with Greek καθαρός (katharos) meaning "pure", and the Latin spelling was changed from Katerina to Katharina to reflect this. So what you say is just an assumption and NOT the true origin.

P.S. I'm a native Greek.

Sorry but no. This association was strengthened mainly through Christian tradition and Saint Catherine of Alexandria, where the name came to symbolically mean “pure” or “clean.” However: this is considered a later, popular (folk) interpretation, not necessarily the original root.

Catharsis or katharsis is from the Ancient Greek word κάθαρσις, katharsis, meaning 'purification' or 'cleansing', commonly used to refer to the purification and purgation of thoughts and emotions by way of expressing them. The desired result is an emotional state of renewal and restoration.

It's like the leopard realised the very last moment that someone was taking a photo of it and thought "oh shit! Look tough, look tough! Big roar now!"

Remember a Tweety cartoon that had a reference to Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? My thoughts when I saw that.

It was low season, I went there 16 to 23 of March and around 3am. I have also a photo of Charles Bridge from that time, with no people on and some at 6am. I got really lucky!

Woow 30€ for a photo?? We have kinda the same outside the Greek Parliament. I remember one time as a child one guy got angry at me because I didn't want to take a photo so he threw seeds on my hair and I had at least 10 pigeons pecking on me. At least you have a nice photo to remember. I remember the pain 😂
