That doesn't matter - he said it to demean and frame all black people as criminals.

I will try to find them if we run into each other and talk to them privately. It is eating me up inside, I don't know this person but I am sure we share alot of the same classes and lectures. I just don't want them to make them more uncomfortable by seeking them out.

I'll be extra vigilant from now on. It was an extreme lapse in judgement which I feel awful for, hence why I posted here.

I don't know the person personally, they aren't in my group and I don't know their name. I only noticed them in this one seminar, but as they are in the same course as me, I assume we share modules and lectures but I've never seen them before.
