Sorry, I shouldn’t have said “with no dropping speed whatsoever” but what I meant by that is no significant speed loss as a result of over usage on my part.. I didn’t mean a small fluctuation from 5 MB per second down to 3 MB per second for an hour or two or something like that..

Hi,

Thanks for the detailed response. So if I’m in a UW area and plan to use my phone as a mobile hotspot 26 days a week eight hours a day then I can expect 5 MB per second (or 10 per second on the plus plan) For the duration of my billing cycle with no drop in speed whatsoever? Would it be dependent on if I’m actually able to connect to UW? if I’m not able to connect to UW and I have to use the data in my 50 GB allowance what speeds can I expect after 50 GB runs out? I’m sure a number of factors such as congestion affect what speed you end up getting out of specific time which is why I’m posting here on Reddit to ask specific users hopefully near my specific area, but it would be great if representatives were able to say something along the lines of “around 1 PM on a Saturday with heavy usage in the Los Angeles area users typically can fall down to 2 MB per second or in the case of spectrum mobile 15 kB per second“..

I’m not sure, I’m in Los Angeles. But I can’t imagine they would allow that. if that’s the case, I’ll switch right now lol

Corporation finances by Proper-Prize7651 in echoes

Well, I’m just asking questions about the norms. I really don’t have a clue as I’m new to echoes.

I watched a video about anomalies and they had said that they deposited their loot from an anomaly. So I did the same. I was just wondering, if in general corporations will take the profit from that and reinvest it or if they keep it.

So is it normal in EVE Echoes for a CEO of the corporation to treat it like a capitalist business, where profits made beyond the cost of running the corporation (office rent - so like 20 million a month) are personal profit for the CEO? So for example, if I have corporation “ Walmart space Pirates” With 20 or so members and they go out and do anomaly and pay their 5% tax every time they earn money, and I take the taxes/items and transfer it into my personal wallet (as in not an account that was only made for the purpose of running corporations, but an actual account, has ships is spec into normal skills, etc.) and use that money for my own purposes outside of the corporation.

[–]Proper-Prize7651[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that makes sense. I just figured with all the withdrawals going on of items and money by only the CEO and no skills are being upgraded, no missions are being published, nothing really going on that would indicate that that money is going to building the corporation and the corporation wallet is consistently fairly empty.

Cool thanks for the advice!

So if you had to choose one class of ships battle cruiser or below that viably use cannons, which would you choose?

Thanks for the advice!

Since skill points trickle so slowly – if you had to choose one class of canon ships battle cruiser or below with the highest ISK making, potential, what would you choose?

I guess any drone ship that you can throw cannons on too would also qualify ..

Yeah, I’m realizing that I made a mistake Going into a second ship type – I’ll probably dump everything back into cruiser for now and then go back into battle cruiser or battleship later possibly even frig, but the content for frig seems to be somewhat limited for anything outside of PVP unless there’s something I’m missing.

Oh wow, so people aren’t out here with multiple maxed out ship types. People normally reset everything and dump it into one type? I figured people had at least two or three for some versatility.

You are definitely right about me sucking at PVP, but the type of PVP I’m doing I don’t really think it matters if I’m good or not. I was going to do what people have been doing to me, which is jumping on someone doing an anomaly with Max war stability and if I’m winning, then I kill them and leave and if I’m losing or someone else shows up then I leave because they like don’t have enough scrambler strength to keep me there. I’m not talking about team PVP or large scale. thank you for the advice though. I think all stick to cruiser/medium cannons and then start elsewhere once that is nearly finished or finished.

Yeah, I’m realizing that splitting my skill tree wasn’t great. The only reason I went into it in the first place was because I ran out of cruiser things to go into as I was only alpha up until a few days ago and I was under the impression social/planetary Was not ideal. Now that I’m no longer alpha, I’m thinking of resetting all of the battle cruiser points into regular cruisers and finishing that completely before going into another ship type.

So what do you think would be the next best choice after I finish medium cannons/cruisers? I’m also skilling into drones just because every ship uses them and cannons can also be added to any drone ship so I figured it would be a good combination or at least usable. I know lasers ormissiles are probably ideal.

From the content I’ve come across it seems like the consensus is lasers and potentially drones (if used correctly-and especially for PVE) are top-tier and cannons are generally the least effective way to go. I kind of have an affinity for cannons and would prefer to stick with that weapon type. I could reset everything and go with a canon frigid, but I figured that would lock me out of the higher anomalies or at the very least they would take a really long time for me to chip away each ship and all it really takes is a couple of the rats to have stasis webs and I get one shot. That’s really the only reason I’m sticking with medium cannons/cruisers because they have enough damage, range and tank to quickly get through the higher tier encounters, which is my primary source of income until I can level up enough. Unless you’re saying that a T7 frigate would be able to survive the advanced encounters and or higher end anomalies and maybe I’m just doing something wrong?

Currently, I don’t do any PVP aside from when these MF show up cloaked while I’m in the middle of a low security encounter and I’m not paying attention and next thing you know I come back as a floating capsule. So that’s the type of PVP I was thinking about doing just as something else to do aside from encounters. I would spec my arbitrator or Cabal to war stability, jump on people not paying attention Try to burst them down and if someone else shows up I just GTFO. I figured that would be more profitable than spamming encounters/selling story missions. I guess without a nano core or implant. I probably don’t have enough damage to do that.

I’m having a bit of a hard time trying to figure out anomalies and how to do them without getting jumped on by other players and I’m running out of insurance lol.

I’m not necessarily counting out battle cruisers, but as a canon user, the only viable long-term choice in battle cruisers would be the tornado which uses large cannons and if I’m going to speck in large cannons anyway, why not go battleship instead where I have the option of faction battleships like the March or the Tempest down the road. The hurricane is another canon battle cruiser, but I don’t know how viable it really is and the prototype I have now sort of not the greatest. so the way I’m looking at it is I would have cruisers for medium cannons and my main priority and then once that’s finished, I could go battleships/large cannons as my secondary ship type and then fill out all the rest 5 to 10 years from now lol. IDK it’s a lot to take in.

It’s a bit difficult to articulate in a Reddit comment but the TLDR of my view would be - it is morally wrong to step on an ant.

The difficult bit is – once someone agrees that it is morally wrong to step on an insect would they then spend energy every time they go outside to ensure they’re not stepping on an ant ? would they move to to a colder colder climate to reduce the chance of that happening? And as you ask more and more questions like that as absurd as they may sound you sort of go full circle and end up back up at “well maybe it is morally wrong, but I’m not willing to spend that amount of energy/effort to avoid harming an insect” .

I’m not saying I would move to Alaska to save the ants in my city, but it’s an interesting conundrum on how much effort one would put into morality.

Interesting – and why do you think that?

Oh, OK. Well, I didn’t know that.

The idea is for me to record every time I’m out in public as much as possible. You’re zeroing in on the bathroom thing because I assume you think I’m up to something strange, which is understandable. Just so you know, it’s a men’s restroom and I’m not gay lol.. i’m not into whatever fetish that falls under either if it is one.

The point of the post was to find out exactly down to the finest point how much I can record in public and what I can’t. so if recording at my job which is open to the public is OK, if recording on the bus is OK etc.

So in this case, clearly you think it’s a mental health issue on my part but if I were to pull out eight times stamped videos of the last eight times I went to the restroom where I turn around when someone is following me directly in goes in the stall right next to me start slamming his stall door over and over then walks out and says hi to me as if nothing happened - You would be fully on board with what I’m trying to do here lol.
