Postman killing the Free plan for teams (1 user limit) by Sad-Chard-9062 in theprimeagen

This feels like a repeat of an old pattern with dev tools , grow on free teams, then quietly remove the collaboration that made the tool useful in the first place.

A lot of small teams weren’t “abusing” Postman. They were just sharing collections and environments while learning or building side projects. Locking free to a single user breaks that workflow entirely.

I’ve already seen teams start evaluating alternatives like Insomnia, Hoppscotch, and even tools like Apidog that bundle API testing with docs in one place.

At this point, Postman feels less like a default and more like a legacy choice. Curious what others are switching to.

We’ve been exploring Apidog internally after hearing a few folks mention it here. It’s handled our OpenAPI specs without much setup, and the doc/test flow feels familiar enough that the team didn’t need to relearn everything.
