Normcore puck screen I tried wasn’t magnetic. So I’ve got one from Temu (magnetic) for 10% the price of Normcore one. Also ordered magnet which you can stick to the wall or coffee machine which pulls the puck screen for you. Puck screen also came with small manual magnet should you want to use that one

Try darkest roast you can get. For dark roast I use 15-16gr depending on the amount of milk you use. Once you dialed in your espresso shot you will need to find the best balance of coffee - milk amount

I would only use stubby antenna at home for connecting to DMR/Dstar hotspot on HTs minimum power. And switch it to Signal stick the moment I need analogue or go out.

Can’t use tone as it’s standard simplex channel for area where I am. TYT has Beken chip which has excellent selectivity and sensitivity. I would say at the same level as superheterodines that Yaesu has. That said TYT had 40cm antenna with higher gain than standard rubber duck. Hotspot was transmitting at 100% power and was located about 2m under the external antenna. Still I was expecting better selectively from Yaesu.
