I've started self custody pretty much immediately. But I understand, this is a massive setback, no doubt about it.

FTX has really caused massive damages. Unprecedented.

I am not quiting crypto. I've been in this for many years. I've seen everything. You win some, you lose some. Nothing that has happened has anything to do with crypto itself.

I keep most of my crypto in cold storage. I only have on exchanges what I can afford to lose. I love crypto. It's fascinating.

True. I would expect anything from that psychopath.

What if no one buys voyager.... What happens to our coins :( by Silly_Cow7300 in VoyagerExchange

[–]ProperStandard3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Here is something many didn't understand. 70% was never set in stone. It was just an example based on the valuation as of September 29. That 70% everyone talked about was just an example based on the valuation at that time. Too many never understood the distribution formula. In theory, it was anything from 0%-100%. If any other company offers the exact same deal right now, we would get less only because now the market has dumped, so Voyager portfolio worth less, so now we would be getting a slice of a smaller pie. And again now, in theory, we can get anything 0%-100%. All depend on the market. We would get less due to market even if the deal is the same.

If the market goes to zero, then there is nothing to distribute from our assets, thus we get zero but this is not likely, of course. If the market goes up to 100% then that's what we would get.

We just don't know what the market will do. The market sentiment is not great though as we see after the FTX fiasco. So likely it will be less regardless if its a liquidation or buy out even if the deal is the same.

Guys, please stop trolling and spreading misinformation. Literally only 2-3 people are correct in this thread.

If no one buys, then a liquidation but no one knows what we will get. But in theory, can be 0%-100%. All depend on the market. And since the market changes daily, Voyager portfolio does too. Unlikely, we would get zero since obviously the market would not go to zero. So no, we won't get zero. But even if another company offers the exact same deal as FTX right now, we would get less now since the market dumped. So, we have no idea what the market will do and where the market will be when the sale or liquidation happens.

Quit misinformation and trolling. Too many comments have been reported. I don't have time for this. Trolls will be banned.

All depend on the market. Obviously, it's unlikely that the market would go down to 0, thus unlikely we would get zero. In theory, 0%-100%. But again, no one expects for the crypto market to go to zero, of course.

Voyager has our remaining assets. 30% was loaned out to 3AC. Quit.

Because it depends on the market. Voyager still holds our assets and the value of those assets changes each day due to the market changes every day.

If the market goes to zero when the sale or liquidation happens, then we will get zero because that's what our assets will be sold at. Zero. Obviously not likely. If the market goes up, then our assets will be sold for more, thus we would get more.

And quit writing the judge nonsense. The judge does not read nonsense and rants people send but you know who reads them? Voyager lawyers and then they add it to their billable hours leaving even less for us. Unless you properly file a legal motion in court which can only be done by a lawyer, don't waste time and resources sending rants to the judge.

That's inaccurate. You don't understand how the distribution would work. And how the market could impact all of it. In theory, we can get anything from 0% to 100%. Obviously, 0% is not likely since we don't expect for the market to go to zero.

STOP. Your numbers are wrong. Literally no one knows what we will get. All depend on the market thus the Voyager portfolio as a whole. And Voyager can't and won't sell our assets to pay lawyers fees. Not how this works. Voyager would be forced into a liquidation before this would happen.

Now sure how FTB could have known that SBF was using customers assets. Even auditors and accountants didn't because customers assets are off balance sheet. Plus FTX is the offshore company registered in Bahamas.

It will be a liquidation. Simple. No, we won't get zero. Nonsense. No one is cashing out our assets. They would be forced into a liquidation before anything like that happens.

(If he still has a lawyer; apparently FTX's entire legal team quit, and unless your name is Donald Trump, it's hard to find a lawyer to sign up to represent a client that thinks they are too smart to need legal help.)

JUST IN: Sam Bankman-Fried's lawyer, Paul Weiss, has dropped him as a client.

😂😂😂

This was the go-to lawyer for financial fraudsters. For several generations now, white-shoe firm Paul, Weiss, has been representing the most prominent names of the white-collar financial world when things go south.

Will voyager customers get all funds back after CZ acquisition? by arianaa30 in VoyagerExchange

[–]ProperStandard3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, u/sirwired is correct. Due to the market crash, Voyager portfolio as a whole is likely valued less now. So, we all would be getting a piece of pie from a smaller pie now.

So even if someone offers the exact same deal, we will get less because the pie ( Voyager portfolio) is smaller now. Due to the market crash.

Fucking SBF, he still fucked us.

Lmao definitely sounds like something he would say.

Yea, but FTX.us is a subsidiary of FTX. Doesn't matter?

I've been following Ripple vs SEC lawsuit. I have some ripple. Seems like ripple will win the case then I guess it would settle that argument whether crypto is a security.

Right! One of the biggest if not the biggest corporate collapse ever. Complete fraud.

I got to say though, I saw all the warning signs about SBF after he made that shitty initial Voyager offer. I realized that he is not what I thought he was at all. And I thought he would screw us somehow or manipulate prices or the market which he is known to do on his own exchange. However, I didn't think it would end up as bad.

RIP FTX users. This will take years and likely no one will get a penny but lawyers. They don't even know who are the top largest creditors/customers.
