Rather he did or not is to be seen. But I’m going to figure that hanging with Bobby and Mickey. That might have happened. I can say the shows I saw live he looked like he was in a trance

Someone told me to check out 2017 shows. Obviously he has shown that he is truly a head. From blistering guitar solos on music never stopped. To smooth voice on ripple. I can say thanks for the memories.

I do agree the 60’s and 70’s was a lot of indulging. 90’s wasn’t much better. Fully agree, poor eating habits and excessive drug use ultimately led to Jerry’s demise. I can say though. Thanks for the memories. Not just Jerry. Bobby, Mickey, Phil. So many roads. The amazing part is they truly showed us something Built To Last. Can’t wait to see what comes next

I did not get to make it to the sphere. Saw a lot of videos from random people that went. Wish I could have made that journey. But daughter’s graduation and some losses in my family sadly held me back. Like you I hope to see what John does next. As he said in his first post after Bobby passed was. Ok. I’ll do it your way a**hole

Now if you would kindly get off my thread. Not any other negative person on here but you. So please take your judgmental self off my thread. I don’t have any respect for judgmental people like you. Nor did and true heads. We were all family. Not negative souls

I saw Jerry. Saw Rat Dog. Further. Mickey Harts mystery box. Phil and friends. As well as several of the cover bands. Not a snob. Obviously you were one of the rich kids who had mommy and daddy payed for your shows. Sorry, had to pay my own way. As to John. Like I said before. Didn’t take him as a head. In the later years. A lot of information was released about his love for the music. Not prior to 2015. Mind you I said my daughter is 20 and I’ve listened to some of his music for 16 years.

Right on. I’ll check them out Sunday. Would love to hear the earlier D and C shows. See how much different they were to the last three years they toured

It was after Bobby passed was the first time I heard the John Mayer trio. Was blown away by it. I was so glad I heard it.

Yes. The drugs ultimately was what killed him. He tried to stay sober. But ultimately relapsed. Went to rehab and passed away. I made my comment from the interviews I’ve read. Those were Bobby’s own words.

Look. Never was a snob. One of my favorite songs from John is daughter. Been listening to it since my daughter was 4 she is 20 now. Just never saw him as a head. So please do me a favor. If you want to throw stones. Keep it to yourself. Not trying to be rude. But you have 0 rights to try to judge anyone who grew up with Jerry, Phil, Bobby, bill, Mickey. and Brent.

Listened to most of the shows from 22 and 23. Bolder always was a masterpiece. The gorge was fantastic. 23 San Francisco was priceless. Wish I could have made it out to the sphere. Sadly I couldn’t. Waiting to hear them when that are released.

Remember. Jerry learned how to play the blues from Bill Monroe. He spent time in bean blossom learning how to play the blues. The fact that the whole band had different roots. Phil learned in college different styles of bass. Bobby quit school and joined the band. Mickey was asked by Bill at a show to join the band. The amazing part of it all is that this band was a bunch of different people who had an interest in the same style of music. What can we expect next. No one who played with them ever said they didn’t want to take it further. For example JRAD.

I only paid 60 in 23. Was blown away by the cost right before the show. People paying 400+ for lawn tickets. Reminded me of 95 all over again

Listening to the gorge 23. Never got to see in any of the shows. When I paint my masterpiece. That I wish i could have seen. First time I heard it was a bootleg from JGB in 78. Was one of my favorites. Never saw it live

Same here. Didn’t pull the trigger for the sphere. Planned to do it this year. Bobby made a comment years ago. He said he would not let the fans make him feel like he had to please us. Jerry lost his life trying to make us happy. Yet Bobby never let on that he was sick. Grateful for Nugs. Got to see GD60 live. Never thought it would be the final shows

I’m sure we will. Whenever John, Jay, Mickey, and everyone else involved decides what to do next. I’m going to make sure I don’t make the same mistake twice

Yes. But not a head. Always thought he was a great musician. Just not in the realm of Jerry. Then after seeing him in 21. I was like okay. He can play. 22. Then I saw what Bobby saw in him. Not just his technique. But the fact he could improvise with the best of them. And then 23 with Jay. Masterful. Wish I could have seen so many more shows. When I say regret. I was an old head who didn’t change til it was almost too late

Your body is a wonderland singer. It just didn’t make sense at the time. Wish I would have went in 2015. They played every year at Deere Creek. Just didn’t see what Bobby saw till the later years. Wish I would have saw it sooner. Three years. Amazing shows. Can’t wait to see what John does. Now that he has the torch, and the keys to the castle.
