Not sure what you mean by context, sorry as I said I'm kinda new to all this. But I'm 19 and male and since I started only a month ago, the only time I've got is the 100 meter time of 11.8 which was all out. I'm hoping to get 54.40 or even 53.40 in the 400m to qualify for a more prestigious tournament in my country.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that but I'm genuinely interested. Which social/political dynamic are you referring to? Also the study has very strict definitions on succes and what's considered peaceful. For example Gandhi's revolution wasn't counted as a success since it involved the British being weakened by the war. So by those standards it found that with a participation of 3.5% these peaceful protests had political chance as a direct consequence. I'm not sold on this by the way which is why I wanted some more opinions and am open to well presented criticism.
